What can't I do with only ps3? d I dont want to get ripped pff You can get a new 20gig XBOX 360 for 300$. Unless there's some exclusive PS3 titles that you absolutely need to have, don't bother with that console.
Michael19Cammalleri67
Get the 20gig its the cheapeast and its not worth getting 40, 60 80 gig just way to much.
uthen
300$ sounds interesting for xbox... whats the difference between that and the ps3?
FlHabsFan
The big difference is that the PS3 is also a Blu-Ray player. And most of them go for $300-400+(us). So by getting a PS3, you are buying a blu-ray player that also plays playstation games. Xbox360 is just a game station. So take that into account. darren19
300$ sounds interesting for xbox... whats the difference between that and the ps3? The PS3 as it is now, is really for casual gamers. The graphics of every non-exclusive(NHL,Madden, Vegas 2) games aren't as good as the 360, although the differences are minimal. It has some great exclusives titles like Motorstorm, Resistance, MGS4. You can also play movies in HD Blu-ray or Divx format, something you cannot do on the 360. The 360 on the other hand was built from the ground up for games and is also developer friendly. For virtually every console game, the 360 is the main development platform so the graphics are better and there's always a few more features. The online portion is also much more robust and user friendly.
Glory_Days
If you're looking for good deals, you can check sites such as craigslist or kijiji (just copy-paste in google, and you'll find). You can find awesome deals. I found a Wii around X-mas time, when they were all sold out in stores, for 250$! Just look around!
mortwinkler
I'm an owner of the original Xbox system and loved it. When looking into a new gaming system I went with the PS3, 80-gig, which was fairly expensive. Since then we've also boughten an Xbox 360. I still prefer the PS3 over the 360. We get way more use out of the PS3, with some exclusive games on it. The only game that's "big" and exclusive for the 360 has been Halo, which was a good brainwashing scheme to get people to buy into it. With that said, I've had my PS3 for six months now, and the 360 for three months. I've never had a problem with the PS3, but my 360 has been sent in for repairs twice now (in three months). Thank God we opt'd for the extended warrenty.
CoopII
360 also has better online in my opinion, possibly because you need to pay for it. 360 also gets exclusive content for certain games (Example: Fallout 3 will have downloadable content for the 360, but not PS3). I'm waiting for a Price drop to get the PS3, and then it's only so I can play MGS4.

maximus123
quick question guys (or gals) about the ps3, are you all using it on an HD TV ? Would the graphic still be good on a "conventional" tv or does it become somewhat bad looking? Would it compare to a ps2 quality on a non HD? Would it compare to a ps2 quality on a non HD? yeah, ive got a ps3 on a regular tube tv, until we switch to hd(soon, soon) the graphics are alot better then my old xbox/ps2 graphics, but compared to hd, it pales in comparison. that being said its definetly worth buying just for the improvements in gameplay

Actually nothing beats a regular TV when it comes to image quality, the problems are the low resolution and standard size screen.

Talking about a waste of money, the online play sucks, it's not that good of a blu ray player, the only thing i love about the damn thing is the remote control lol. And yes ill never be hire as a spokesperson for playstation.

On the PS3, many games have dedicated servers which provides an online experience as good as the PC. Not to mention that you don't need to pay a monthly fee to fully enjoy the online network. Another thing that bothers me greatly on the 360 are the ranked servers and the inability to join in progress. All the servers are ranked on the PS3 and you don't have to find a new session every time one ends.
