Probably cuz soo many people hate lowe, he can have his secratary in this new guy make the calls for him

I don't think "...soo many people hate lowe..." . Obviously, he and Brian Burke do not get along. As well, Sabres GM Larry Quinn is not too fond of Lowe after his offer sheet to one of his players . But his reputation is pretty solid. Jim Rutherford recently even spoke positively of Lowe.

Lowe did speak about wanting less stress, more help, and more time for his personnal life. He did lose his assistant GM last year to the Blue Jackets, so he has been carrying a bit of work load. Also, the new owner wanted to increase the manpower of the front offfice and have an "outsiders" opinion ( in terms of not being an ex-Oiler or what not).

Lowe will still have a lot of input in the decision making process. The more minds and better.

Hate is a strong word, but he certainly has ruffled alot of feathers in the boys club.
