HabsFanInPitt27
Shadow Play, with David Miller in the sulky, won the 2008 Delvin Miller Adios Saturday afternoon at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, out dueling Major General and Andy Miller in a thrilling stretch drive, winning by about a half length. Third in the race was Lonestar Legend with Ron Pierce driving. Time of the mile was 1:50.4. Both of Shadow Play's trainers, Mark Ford and Dr. Ian Moore were in the winner's circle to accept congratulations along with other connections, including a former Montreal Canadiens great, NHL Hall of Fame defenceman Serge Savard. Savard, who has been involved with the sport for many years, said Shadow Play was very sharp today. "They came at us today but our horse withstood the challenge. He raced great. I can't win any Stanley Cups anymore but this is quite the feeling," added Savard. http://www.theharnessedge.com/news.asp?Mod...amp;Story=27697
