madsprite18
The Hamilton Bulldogs are getting another defenceman with American Hockey League experience. The Montreal Canadiens have signed Chad Anderson, 26, to a one-year deal. The 6-foot-4, 217-pounder played 55 games with the Philadelphia Phantoms. Anderson, who is from Chisago City, Minn., had two goals, 11 assists and 35 minutes in penalties. He was third on the team with a plus-11 rating. Meanwhile, Bulldogs' defenceman Marvin Degon has signed with EHC Wolfsburg in the German Hockey League. Degon, 25, who was acquired by Montreal last summer as a free agent, played 79 games with the Bulldogs last year. He scored nine goals and 31 points with 56 MIP. stjrandy
Degon will regret going to Germany. When I was there hockey wasn't even an afterthought. The AHL is still just below the NHL in quality and I'll never see a player get called up from the DEL...ever.

I agree with you, I thought Degon was one of our best "D" in Hamilton last year and would certainly have a bright future in the AHL and possibly the NHL.....best of luck to him though!
