Rocket-1
I asked this question already, but does anyone know how many D man do we have in our organization ? (and by that i mean player under contract who plays anywhere)
leafs_rock_go_mccabe
Awesome, awesome, awesome! I gues P.K. is going to have to spend another year in the OHL. Which is fine! Unfortunately for him, Yannick has got the jump on him development wise for filling in Montreal's future offensive defenceman, PP specialist spot. Well, I guess, Carle really has the jump on both of them, but I think Yannick is going to be more sound defensively than both of Carle and Subban. I am very happy with this signing, and hope Yannick has an awesome year in Hamilton. Perhaps some callups will ensue! Weber, Valentenko, Carle! Hamilton is looking nice on D this season. I hope all of these young guys can step up their play and do well in the AHL.

Joker-Hab
I think this is a great signing, and really a no brainer. This kid has shown he can rip it up on the junior level, and is on to his next step in Hamilton. Not only is this a good signing, but its also shows how well we've been drafting the last few years (not that anyone hasn't noticed lol) I also like the fact that our prospects are learning a winning tradition at earlier stages of high end hockey. Weber helped lead the Rangers to the OHL title last year, and we're only two years removed from a Calder Cup in Hamilton. Our future is definatly looking good . If by any stretch of the imagination the Habs aren't good now, we're only getting better

(and by that i mean player under contract who plays anywhere) Im the one who listed the whole list of dmen we have in our organisation on contract or not. we have 26 in total. but only two are playing in Hamilton Valentenko and Carle so hamiltons defence should look something like this now Valentenko-Carle Belle-Anderson Weber-Henry I see some ppl dont see the digning of weber as a big thing, well let me tell you, Weber is going to be one heck of a player and will crack the roster one day, hes a very good defenseman

Actually, Apparently Subban is the one who progressed the most out of all our prospects, he had one heck of a year, he started playing defensively and did it very well and wow, can he ever lay a hit? not to mention his booming slapshot? nothing on Weber, cause its obvious he'll crack the habs lineup one day. BadBrains
Looks like we get a replacement Swiss D-man sooner than we thought. Gonna be an interesting year in Hamilton. Lots of new talented players making the jump to the AHL.

FirstStar
This is a great move... To be honest, I'm not surprised at all and neither should the rest of us. Seriously, just look who we have in head office and leading behind the bench... 2 of the best defensive forwards to ever play the game! No kidding they're going after defense, we're going to have defenseman coming out of ears for the next few years. Which is great, when another team realizes it needs more than offense to win (cough*botlz*cough), they'll be in the market for some young (or even vet) d-man and maybe we could score ourselves a good forward. From what I hear and read, this kid is definitely NHL material, might take a few season, but he'll eventually be helping us on the PP and putting in goals from the blueline . I have friends in Hamilton, apparently they're all pretty stoked about this upcoming season.
Johnny_rudeboy
You just need to read Weber's player thread in the "In the System" Sub Forum to see what type of prospect he is and why Timmons recently stated why he had a "great year" last season.
