Ramadolly
Komi signed for an extra 1/2MM to go to a rebuilding Leaf team (big rival). He went there just for the money!! I can't respect that. I would love to have Lucic on my team!!!!! I hate Lucic because he is playing for another team. I would love to have Lucic on my team too! Not only could that guy straighten out the likes of Phaneuf but I also think a guy like Volchenkov would have bounced off of a Lucic flat on his back and Lucic would have just kept on skating by instead of crashing in the boards. We all remember what Lucic did to Komisarek!
ChiLla
I make it to a leafs canadiens game in motreal and toronto once a year, beleive me in either building it's the best rivalry in sports I don't care what anyone says. 2 years ago I went to bruins/canadiens PLAYOFF game in Boston and no one gave a #$@^! So you can't even compare... In sports? Sorry bud, not even close. In hockey maybe. "El Clasico" ... Barca vs. Real in the Bernabeu or Camp Nou beats everything, Liverpool vs. Man United is a pretty good rivalry too.
Guest NvidiaN
Komi has sucked it up for the Leafs, and now he's been injured for about a month (shoulder). Glad he didn't sign, good move.
QbGamer
Isnt going to be playing for the olympics either. But he probably shouldnt have been there to begin with.. So no big loss
QbGamer
TSNBobMcKenzie Komisarek done for year with shoulder surgery, as per Leafs. Tim Gleason likey Oly replacement. Ouch.... what a horrible signing Kinda reminds me of the Sourray signing in edmonton, Season 1 was injured for pretty much the whole time.. and wasnt ever the same since.. No doubt he'll be traded or attepted to be traded by burky next season Phaneuf is version 2.0 ----------- Komisarek: "I am truly sorry that I won't be able to represent my country at the Olympics." Rondalsf
Although I am glad he is no longer a Hab...signed with Toronto...what a....oops don't want to get banned. My point is I never like to see a player have a season ending injury no matter who it is or for what team. but laffs will always suck.
Sashaband
all of this for an extra five hundred grand a year. Leafs should have a positive outlook on this....at least they won't have to worry about killing off those extra penalty minutes. see ya next year buddy boy. swimmerpuck
Hard hitting defencemen like Mike Komisarek are nice to have but this is exactly what I don't like about them. They make themselves more vulnerable to injury in what is already a high attrition position. Now he's going to have shoulder injury so how is his game going to change? Will he be the same player that Toronto paid for originally? Komisarek is definitely looking like a big bust for Toronto and could Phaneuf head the same direction. I could be wrong about this but hasn't Phaneuf had shoulder problems in the past too? Yea they throw big hits but I've always figured while the hittee may feel some pain the hitter maybe does too. But yes we should have done what many fans wanted to do: trade Hamrlik to make room for Komisarek's contract. <sarcasm>

I would love to see the same thing happen to Phaneuf to bring down all those smug Laffs fans back down from cloud nine.

Ramadolly
Na, leaf fans will love this guy HUGE Hitter, Great Fighter, Scores goals... Whats not to love about this guy Other then his salary I think you misunderstood my post. Let me clarify. No Habs fan will love this guy now that he is a Laff! Loudest boos I have ever heard for a former Habs player at the Oct 31st game. As much as I liked him as Hab, he is now public enemy #1 for me as a Laff. Has alot to with my age and the huge rivalry I remember between the Habs and Leafs when I was a kid.

leafs_rock_go_mccabe
Boone over at Habs I/O is saying he's done for the season. I cannot believe Gainey even offered this guy a contract. I'm so happy he declined our offer to go plays for the Leafs. Just imagine having him signed for 4+ years at around $4 million per season. Oh man, that would horrid. He should have been traded at the deadline prior to his becoming an unrestricted free agent. We could have probably received a 1st round draft choice. Ramadolly
Well, you get what you deserve. I hope Phaneuf gets what he deserves too! He likes to fight, I say let him fight every game! Perhaps he too will dislocate his shoulder in the process or break his hand hitting someone on the helmet. I look at him and I see a young smug Burke. Like owner like player I guess!
