#26 - Josh Gorges 2008-09

AK-1

I agree that he's been pretty solid....

He doesn't need to score but it would be good if he did!

yeah i'm always rooting for him to score. if i remember correctly he was the only one without a goal last year :(. Again he doesn't need to score, as his job is defence but it would be really nice to see it happen. alo i think he's only had 1 nhl goal in his career (according to nhl.com) be nice to see him have some with the habs

Last 2 games Josh has been a second too late to score a goal going to the net, but my problem is i see him go to the net too often for my liking, he needs to stay back. Josh is developing well if you ask me, but he needs to STOP joining the rush so much.

It's almost like he's trying too hard to score THAT goal, making himself a potential liability.

Personally, I find that Gorges rarely gets caught up the ice. He does join the rush a lot, but his pinches are well-calculated.

Agreed. He's been steadier in that regard than any other d-man this year with the exception of Bouillon. Everyone else -- even Markov -- has been making some questionable decisions pinching.
