newton-mtl
Never been a fan but Lang's been steadily earning my respect through the years. Should be a great fit with the Habs.
chromedome_mtl
Wouldn't it be just a great gift that Bob has given us if it turns out to be our good fortune that Lang ends up going crazy for us like Kovy has?I,for one, certainly don't rule that out as a real possibility.I think Gainey had felt all along that while Sardeen should be the first option if possible,Lang has to be way up there on your list if you can get him! Oh Joy!Oh Joy!Let's get the show on the road!I'm frothing at the mouth in anticipation of the season that lies ahead of us!Thank you Bob(Santa)Gainey! I like the move very much, and think Lang can be successful, but as a center, I don't see him logging the big minutes of a Kovalev or Koivu. With Koivu and Plekanec ahead of him, he'll likely be relegated to a third-line position with the occasional extra shift with top wingers (unless Bob and Guy have something up their sleeves). fourtrax
This is awesome. Nice job Gainey. basically it was like Grabs for the D-man and Lang then, right? Solid trade. Agreed. The acquisition of Lang makes the Grabovski trade make sense. Gainey sure put that pick to good use.
tmash
Agreed. The acquisition of Lang makes the Grabovski trade make sense. Gainey sure put that pick to good use. Agreed. It will be awhile before we know if that Grabovski trade was good or bad long term. But at least for this upcoming season it now looks like a good one. Good job Gainey, now just get us another top four dman
