leafs_rock_go_mccabe
He got stoned, again, on the PP with a seemingly open net. I would hope he can start capitalizing on those chances soon. I appreciate his work last night, but would like to see some more goals out of him since the opportunities are being presented. Here's hoping that he scores a few this week!
ChiLla
a huge upgrade over smolinski. I was thinking the same thing. He makes double the money though to be fair but man it's not even close. He kills penalties, has good hands, can set his linemates up and has a very solid wrister. Excellent acquisition so far, I believe that guy can be a crucial factor this year. He's experienced, he seems to be a great guy, I'm really happy he's part of this organization. Way to go! I appreciate his work last night, but would like to see some more goals out of him since the opportunities are being presented. Here's hoping that he scores a few this week! True, he could have easily scored 3 or 4 goals more this year, missing a few open nets and getting stoned by the opponent's goalie on several occasions. Still, I'm happy with his performance so far. fourtrax
a huge upgrade over smolinski. Heh, I was saying the same thing to myself last night. In fact, mentioning Lang and Smolinski in the same breath is insulting to Lang.
tmash
Heh, I was saying the same thing to myself last night. In fact, mentioning Lang and Smolinski in the same breath is insulting to Lang. well even if Smolinski had worked out though, they aren't the same type of player, we just happened to play them in the same spot. Smolinski is your classic third line, defensive center with some offensive upside. Lang is more of a top six center who due to our depth is playing on the third line, he's an offensive player who we can play in some defensive situations. teststory
I still think he is a better choice at this point to play on the top lines then Lats or Higgens, but I understand that they don't feel comfortable with other players playing center. If the third line can play like it did last game more consistently then it wont matter I guess. It looks like Sergei Kostitsyn is starting to play well again so the line should do well. Except that Smolinski wasn't even a good defensive center until the last quarter of the season, when he apparently realized that his contract was up. There's a reason he got benched at times last year. He was brutal. What a disappointment.

teststory
Put him with Kovalev for a while and see what happens. It's been a long time, but it's not like Pleks and Lang lines are lighting the world on fire right now.

Something may need to change, as Lang, Kovalev, Plekanec, and both Kostitsyns have been very inconsistent.
tony1234
If he could have burried that beautiful set up from Sergei and Guillaume it may have been a different game. Sometimes stuff happens, but it does show the potential to have three offensive lines doesn't it.

Another one of those games where one inch may have changed everything.

Twillightzone
Well lang isnt a superstar so what have some of you expected here? I think he is doing a good job for the most part and he is still getting the chances (more then you can say for nr 46 for ex). Lang will get around 20 goals this season and thats fine by me. I dont expect him to put up extremly high numbers, more solid ones (wich i think he is atm, not great but ok).
js2
He's been the worst in the face-off circle out of our 4 centers. Koivu: 56.2% Lapierre: 55.1% Plekanec: 50.9% Lang: 45.8% The only one losing more than he wins. Just to add, if that were a certain player that's currently in Hamilton that had a percentage of 45.8, some fans would be calling for him to be sent down.
