newton-mtl
he sure says "you know" a lot Most Czech players do.. don't really know why, but it seems kinda natural, y'know?
fourtrax
he sure says "you know" a lot He's just borrowing the standard hockey dictionary from native English-speaking players, who use "you know" only slightly less frequently. No one ever accused hockey players of being articulate.
chromedome_mtl
Most Czech players do.. don't really know why, but it seems kinda natural, y'know? Actually, can you really think of any athlete ,whether we're talking Hockey,Baseball,Hoops or whatever that doesn't ,you know, use the words ,"you know"several times per sentence, never mind phrase? utreder
The entire hockey player vocabulary/phraseology consists of about 90 different words/phrases, they're both most boring people on the planet to interview. Think about it, all they ever use is the words "effort", "character", "confidence". And they always state the obvious. Very Darren Dreger-esque. fourtrax
Yeah, despite the hockey speak, Lang came across as a really engaging, honest personality in the audio clips on habsinsideout. He isn't a huge sexy signing like Sundin would have been, but the more I think about it, the more I'm happy that Lang is a part of our team this year. For starters, when was the last time we had a 6'3'' center?

"Harder work in the corners." Etc. etc. Yeah, despite the hockey speak, Lang came across as a really engaging, honest personality in the audio clips on habsinsideout. For starters, when was the last time we had a 6'3'' center? I thought he was good, too. He sounded genuinely excited and happy to be a part of the club, yet grounded in his comments. I don't think he's coming here anticipating anything more than assisting the core that's already been built. I think he understands his possible role, and understand what's expected of him. I am excited to have someone who isn't as complacent as Sundin!
HabsFanInCalgary
I think hes a better fit than Sundin anyways, Sundin would have expected a number one centers ice time, while I believe that Lang will accept a lesser role on a second or third line. All depending on how he plays and produces obviously, but a better all around fit. Plus hes 6'3"

teststory
They used to call him Bobby Lang for some reason in Pittsburgh. I thought it was pretty cool. Either there is a Bobby Lang around somewhere or they were really saying Robby Lang.

sach
Keep in mind two things... Savard got rid of Lang in a trade so why would he want to make BG look bad saying anything otherwise... and I didn't say I agreed with what was said in the article I posted Savard is the head coach not the GM, he had nothing to do with trading him lol
sach
its funny that lang has landed with us, him and Jagr used to terrorize the useless habs teams of the late 90's early 00's. but one big asset he brings with him is his faceoff ability, he won 593 lastyear at a 53% clip. that now gives us two guys who can win draws the other being of course saku at 52%
