It turns out Rich Rodriguez's downfall was he thumbed his nose at the alumni, essentially not allowing former players to attend spring practice.

You say that as though the fact that he was a bad coach had nothing to do with it.

Go Blue.

That being said, it will be another possibly lenghty rebuild of 2-3 years. But this will be more worth it.

It's just that ESPN thinks Rodriguez's attitude toward the alumni played a role or maybe the final straw.

Urban Meyer to Ohio State? From what I've heard, there are three jobs his family has no veto power over. Michigan which hired Brady Hoke, Notre Dame which hired Cincinnati's coach, and Ohio State which named assistant Luke Fickell as interim head coach. Ohio State is postponing its search for a permanent head coach until after the season. Meyer is staying at ESPN for now.

Michigan comes back back from a 17 point fourth deficit to win 35-31 when Denard Robinson found Roy Roundtree in the end zone with two seconds left. That was set up by a 64 yard pass to Jeremy Gallon when the Notre Dame inexplicably lost track of him. The final Michigan drive was set up its failure to stop Notre Dame's final drive allowing the Irish to move 60 yard virtually at will. That will need to be worked on.
