babinator77
Leblanc! Awesome! I was, sort of, hoping for this guy! yeah, he was an ideal pick for the fans and management: local guy in the american college system. otherwise...state of the habs is annoyingly quiet. thepriceisright
I don't know if it's just me or not, but, when I notice all the recent players that we've drafted in the last few years, you have to agree they have good offensive upside and skill ; the question is , do any of them really have any grit to their game ? That was evident in the Boston series and most of last year , even the duct tape Leafs team seem to outwork us in alot of areas on the ice, it's great to have that uber skill , but alot of times there is no " true possession of the puck " and you have to get dirty and come out with it in the corners and on the wall , and be able to sacrifice yourself to make the play and not shy off when it happens . I think BG needs a sense of direction himself ; building a skilled team , but had a coach who , when he played , was defensive minded and a good work ethic , so , was the coach wrong or was the direction of the team being changed in flight ? If the new NHL is taught us anything, you have to be versatile in style, tough , and composed to win , I think we're still a long way from that . maximus123
rumors of Havlat's right traded to Montreal http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Mark-*****...treal/121/21802 (website of eklund, but his writers are usually more right than him) (no i had no idea where to put this....maybe in the habs rumors sections!) fourtrax
I'd rather hang onto Komisarek's rights and try to swing a deal for him. There's been no report yet that Komisarek has been unwilling to listen to Bob's offers.
amp73
A 3rd rounder, even a 4th rounder would be great. Then we 're basically giving him away for nothing because I don't think the chances of a 3rd or 4th rounder making the NHL are that great
brysonom27
I am worried that the next few days will yeild very little success...and thus we will be relying on all the prospects and the young core to all take at least one big step forward... maximus123
some news about our UFA from Marc Antoine Godin the clan of Alex Tanguay is preparing for him to become a UFA july first, Tanguay had expressed his interest to remain with the team after the elimination but negociations never really got going. Gainey had told them he would contact them after taking care of a priority but they still havent got any news. Gainey was supose to start negociations with Saku Koivu today and Gainey apparently submitted a new offer to Komisarek today. http://www.cyberpresse.ca/sports/hockey/20...-lautonomie.php

I'll reserve an opinion until after some pieces fall in place. Whatever Gainey does with Komisarek some fans won't be happy. There will be complaints when he walks because Gainey didn't overpay and there will be complaints when Gainey does overpay. If I have to read the complaints though I'll take the overpay because in my mind................. Montreal = Overpay, only because they will have to. It doesn't have anything to do with who the GM is. At least that's how I view it.
HockeyMan86
I rather komi be here long term front load his contract and slap the C on his chest because if or when koivu walks hes probably the best player to be the next captain.

I'm still (probably foolishly) holding out on the hope we sign the Sedins. I'd love to be a fly on wall in Gainey's office right now How about putting the C on our MVP Markov? HockeyMan86
Considering how non vocal markov is and how his english is non existent the idea turns me off lol...
Kubby31
Considering how non vocal markov is . Again,I say,how do you/we know that. You/we are not in the dressing room/bench. Also,in my opinion,so what if he comes across as not a very over vocal player, does that tell us that he is not able to show/lead in leadership?? ColRouleBleu
Considering how non vocal markov is and how his english is non existent the idea turns me off lol... I dont see him as a captain either but not because he's not vocal. Actually, he's yapping non stop on the ice during games It's more the media relations part of the captain job that i dont think suits him well. ruuvimeisseli
Habs won't sign any top line forward. If the habs don't sign Tanguay (5.0), koivu (4), kovalev(4.5) and komisarek (5). Atleast we will have lots of cap.
