Here is one for Leaf fans.

MN Jeopardy 127

In what two regular seasons did the second most storied NHL team register 127 goals against (GA).

Hint: In each of the two seasons Toronto had the highest GF, finished 3rd overall and had players place 1-2 in scoring.

Sorry... I can't answer this... I'm not a Leaf fan. ;)

I'm no Leafs fan either. They can enjoy having a Habs fan beat them to it. :P

By the way, most of those stories are lies! :D:D

What are 1931-32 and 1937-38?

You are correct! Fact is my points in my hint are accurate; Those were some strong Leaf teams.

Your go Flying Lion. :D

I never meant to disrespect your stats and I don't doubt there've been some strong Leaf teams. I just couldn't post a reply to that without some sort of dig. ;)

MN JEOPARDY 127!

He played 127 playoff games, scoring 56 goals and a total of 115 points.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hmm...........

I check the gas tank. It's full.

I check the battery. It's fully charged.

I check the tires. They aren't flat.

So let me get in the car and see what the problem is. Oh I see ............. the key in the ignition has been turned off. Well that can be remedied.

So here goes .........................

I turn the key ........................

We have ignition......................

We have combustion .........................

Now we have Jeopardy! :D

MN Jeopardy 115

Name two players in the NHL who tallied exactly 115 points in a regular season.

Hint: One player did in the 1980s and two players did it in the 1990s.

Who are...

Rob Brown 1988-89 Pittsburgh Penguins, Adam Oates 1990-91 St. Louis Blues and Eric Lindros 1995-96 Philadelphia Flyers?

Guys,

I'm really really sorry for having held up the game. I came down with something very suddenly and was quickly admitted into hospital without having a chance to let anyone on the boards know. I only just got discharged earlier today.

For what it's worth, I thought a lot about the game, hoping someone had taken charge while I was away but I don't have a laptop and there was no way I could check for sure.

Again, 1000 apologies.

Trusting in your understanding,

FL.

To some NHL History ................... way back ...............

MN Jeopardy 115

Two goalies in the history of the NHL have a single season goals against average of 1.15.

Who was the goalie that won the Stanley Cup in the same season he had a GAA of 1.15.

Hint: Both goalies accomplished the feat in the same season.

Stanley Cup Champion: Who is Cecil "Tiny" Thompson (1928-29 Boston Bruins)?

Other goalie: Who is Roy Worters (1928-29 New York Americans) ?

That same year George Hainsworth had an amazing .092 GAA while playing for the Montreal Canadiens :)

You know your hockey Admiral. :D

Hainsworth (at only 5'6" 150 lbs) had a record 22 shutouts that season too (out of 44 games).

Your go!
