Kindred
FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK.... WE SALUTE YOU! Well Mn fans I just got back from Toronto and attended my very first AC/DC concert. Waited 14 years to finally see one of my fav bands live and it was well worth it. And once this ringing goes away in my ears all will be right. I also got to see the Habs take on the Leafs. Before i comment on last nights game I'm going to tell you a story. HLD will appreciate this one as it is in the same vein as the jerry story Angus Young, lead guitarist for AC/DC is 53 years old. At every concert (which lasts for 2 hours approx) he runs, jumps struts and walks all across the stage. In any given night he walks over 5 miles in the span of 2 hours. Now that he is over the 50 mark he has slowed down some what, not as many duck walks as he used to give but he still puts on a show. What does that have to do with anything? Well it was a damn sad thing to see, a 53 year old man show more life and energy in 2 hours then our ENTIRE team managed to for more then 5 minutes

Y-ASK-Y
Although, the loss to the laffs ruined my weekend, the biggest dissappointment for me is that it won't be until Jan. 8th until the two teams meet again. 2 months until the Habs can exact revenge and retribution. 2 months of hearing laff fans trash talk. 2 months of anticipating the intense rivalry. If a movie title can be associated with a game then I would predict that the next meeting between the Habs and the laffs would be called: There will be Blood Last Saturday's game.... I would call it, "Falling Down".
GIJAYNE
TOUGHT PILL TO SWALLOW After a long week of waiting for hockey, we were disappointed with the Friday/Saturday tandem of poor performances. Friday’s game would have been grudgingly acceptable had we blown the Leafs away on Saturday, but alas…the team’s laziness finally overcame it’s raw talent. Hard work will always beat talent and talent won’t get you anywhere without hard work, and I suppose this will be the coaching staff’s greatest challenge this year going into, and through the playoffs. On one hand I would like to sit here and vent and trash the HABS for a lazy effort, but on the other hand I know the season is long and bad patches are inevitable for any team. However, we have all been aware since the beginning of the year that out of 12 games played we can ONLY easily name two where the team played hard. Otherwise we always got away with talent. So do we worry? Do we fire the coach and bring in someone else? Is it time to trade Kovalev while his stock is high and get some new blood? Is it time break into each other’s skulls and feast on the sweet sweet goo inside? No…not yet…not ever. All the arm chair GMs (and La Presse) who are more than eager to jump on any opportunity to rip an extremely talented team full of potential apart can go suck a lemon. All that the team needs is to play more games, get the chemistry going, and have some team building activities. Tampa loses to Washington ...... Rangers lose to Edmonton in regulation ...2 bonuses- if Tampa loses in regulation MN pace - 2.5 points per habs game MN on Oct. 31 was - 141 (drop by 24 in 9 games, pace 2.67) Current MN - 135 (drop by 6 in 3 games in November, pace 2.00) Note, the pace of 2 MN points per habs game is the border line between playoffs and golf pastures. If the pace is higher then 2, the habs are heading to the playoffs. If it is less than 2, we are out. If it is exactly 2, it is a tie break situation. This means the habs have to take care on MN countdown themselves. Plus, a loss to Ottawa (and to Toronto) would be very beneficial for bonus chances in the near future. A loss to Phillies would helpful as well, though o a little bit lesser degree. MN pace - 2.7 points per habs game MN on Oct. 31 was - 141 (drop by 24 in 9 games, pace 2.67) Current MN - 133 (drop by 8 in 3 games in November, pace 2.67) Note, the pace of 2 MN points per habs game is the border line between playoffs and golf pastures. Stajan1
i guess when the veterans go down, the young guns gotta step in Higgins! Qui D'autre? Good morning w00ters and MNers alike! Glad to be with you and to have missed out on a few hours of sleep for what must have been our best game this season! assignements, tests and quizzes aside, last night was a heck of a game one that could make jerry, the cat-suit man and even a grumpy dagz smile! But with all the praise one can put on the boys, i'd liek to take five minutes to thank the ottawa senators for showing up. let's face it, we needed a rough and tough, fast paced, highly emotive game to get some sort of cohesion and show that this team is the real deal and the sens gave it to us last night. they never quit and so for that, thank you ottawa for finally waking this slumbering beast up! Onto may fave part of these posts: the praise! w00t for price! w00t for the captain! w00t for komi! a communal w00t for latendresse, lapierre, laraque(LLL line!). but a huge w00t...wait a minute, gimme a second here... W00T! HIGGINS! there we go, thats better! a hat trick! and not any kind of hat trick! his first! EVER! i have loved this kid since he and his odl man balled there eyes out on draft day when his name was called by the montreal canadiens. heart, skill, determination. it hasnt always been sweet, smooth sailing for higgy, but i cant recall a single time where he gave up on this team. he is what the habs have lacked in a hard working love the sainte flanelle player. come one people, how's abotu a w00t for the habs fan on skates? the boys showed what they were capable of last night and it can only get better. the big bad bruins are coming up this thursday(another sleepless night for the general! w00t!) and i say its about time we got some good hockey to watch! GO HABS GO!!! knock 'em down to zero boys! p.s. actual MN will be updated by dagz or el chocolat. lunch and classes await me!

GIJAYNE
Nice update mateus. I finally got back onto my pc (good news for IT guy..he gets to keep his job). I've updated the numbers and well...they look nice I did want to write yesterday about Saturday's game and some reaction around the league pinning the HABS as goons, cheap shots and the HABS as the dirtiest team in the league. After last night's game the TO game seems distant, especially since most of us have suppressed it by now, so I won't go into that. And here's what we all come here for:

GIJAYNE
WILL THE STREAK GO ON?....YES The Booins are on a roll…woopty doo. They won again last night….big woop. They face the HABS tonight yipeeeeee!!! With the HABS gelling once again, we can expect them to go on a tear…the first real tear of the season, and the Booins will be our second victims. The Brruins have notoriously have had psychological issues playing against the HABS. They have however come out a few games with a positive frame of mind, guns blazing, Charas playing like they should, and the offense forechecking. Unfortunatelly for them, on each such occasion, the HABS scored the first goal thanks to acrobatic saves from our goalies and an odd man rush for us against an aggressive team. With the first goal in the Booins fell apart like papier mache in a rain storm. Moral of the story is the Bruins are feeling good and the team is working on all cylinders. They will be facing off against a team who they have not beaten in (what is it now…12?) regular season games, so you can bet they will be very aggressive and confident that given their team this year and current streak, this is where it ends. It will be up to us to start the game strong and get that first goal in to mess with their minds, before they can even get into the game. One of our weaknesses have been the slow starts, but this is one of the many things we remedies on Tuesday’s game. I can only hope (and I do believe) that tonight’s game will be no different in that sense. Tonight, the Bruins will be just another victim for the Bleu Blanc et Rouge.
