Guest
i cant believe it, they actually lost a game lol And check out who they have left.. FLORIDA VS... Pitts, Philly, Atlanta, Caps. Flying_Lion
And check out who they have left.. FLORIDA VS... Pitts, Philly, Atlanta, Caps. Tonight might have been the backbreaker for these pests. Definitely. I think they know it, too. They moved like they had cement skates after the cerebral flatulation that was the 3rd goal. Still, they play all the games for a reason: anything might happen. I wouldn't be surprised if they did win all their games except one, losing to Atlanta. Guest
MN Bonus available for 2009.04.04: There are no bonuses available, but if Buffalo loses (vs New Jersey) there will be bonuses available on Sunday. Carolina vs Pittsburgh game in regulation and losses to Rangers (vs Boston), Philadelphia (vs Ottawa) are benefitial to the habs as well. So far the Rangers are co operating. More breathing room for us.
mikejones1
So far the Rangers are co operating. More breathing room for us. This is a good way to start the weekend. This game gave the habs half of the win for free and they have to win 2.5 in their remaining 5 games to insure the playoffs.

mikejones1
Raked Mulched and Bagged I'll be going on holidays Monday with a smile on my face. WOOTNESS We could use a GENERAL in here............UPDATE Yesss Sirrr! Buffalo and Rangers lost, the Habs won and Montreal need just 1.5 wins to make the playoffs this season. If Florida loses on Sunday Montreal can clinch the playoffs on Monday with a win over Ottawa. At the moment Montreal finds itself in the jam of the battle for the playoffs spots from 4 to 7. In another development today Boston clinched top spot in the East and Carolina clinched the playoffs thanks to the tie break rule on number of wins. MN is 4 now. Current NL standings in the East and MN table. Don't forget to press refresh button. Press refresh button to update the images Playoffs teams: 1. Boston 2. New Jersey 3. Washington 4. Carolina (on tie break - number of wins) Teams out of reach: 1. Boston 2. Washington 3. New Jersey Teams eliminated from the playoffs: 1. Islanders 2. Tampa Bay 3. Atlanta 4. Toronto 5. mikejones1
MN Bonus available for 2009.04.05: ...1 or 2 bonuses - if Florida loses (2 bonuses if in regulation) to Pittsburgh I will not cry though if Pittsburgh loses, especially if they do it in regulation. Nevertheless if Florida loses Montreal can clinch the playoff on Monday with a win over Ottawa. MN drop pace - 2.06 points per habs game Record - 78-41-27-10 (g-w-l-ol), ........... - 92-69-161 (points-bonuses-MN drop) MN on Oct. 31 was - 141 (October record 9-7-1-1, 15-9-24, pace 2.67) MN on Nov. 30 was - 111 (November record 14-6-5-3, 15-15-30, pace 2.14) MN on Dec. 31 was - 82 (December record 13-8-3-2, 18-11-29, pace 2.22) MN on Jan. 31 was - 56 (January record 13-7-6-0, 14-12-26, pace 2.00) MN on Feb. 28 was - 32 (February record 14-6-7-1, 13-11-24, pace 1.71) MN on Mar. 31 was - 10 (March record 13-4-5-3, 13-9-22, pace 1.69) Current MN - 4 (April record 2-2-0-0, 4-2-6, pace 3.00) Note, the pace of 2 MN points per habs game is the border line between playoffs and golf pastures. If the pace is higher than 2, the habs are heading to the playoffs. If it is less than 2, we are out. If it is exactly 2, it is a tie break situation. JHaul
Correct me if I'm wrong but if we beat the Rangers (in regulation) we clinch right? A friend and I were just discussing this and we believe that any type of win over the NYR tomorrow will clinch for us. Even if they won out, we'd be tied and we hold the tie break over them. Imagine a shootout tomorrow to clinch?

Imagine a shootout tomorrow to clinch? If we win in regulation, then we're into the playoffs (as it's a four point game and the MN is currently 4). If we tie in regulation and win in OT, then the rags win both their final games and we lose both ours in regulation I think, even on tiebreakers, we'd be ahead of them: Both teams would be tied on games won and it's then down to head-to-head, which would be tied, then goal differential, for which ours is currently much better than theirs (unless they win their final games by record breaking margins - which they won't). So yes, you're right, J Haul. But what do I know - I'm often wrong.

habs-24
it doesnt matter about the panthers for now, with the rangers tied for 8th if we win we are in no matter what the panthers do now if the Rangers win and we get a point and the panthers loose that would also get us in Us 93 Rangers 91 Cats
