Some stuff that belongs in a gameday thread is being posted in the Analysis thread, so I'm starting this topic. Discuss tonight's pre-season opener.

thanks for the thread.

does anyone know who's playing for boston other than potentially the lucic, savard, ryder line?

i don't know much about chad anderson or alex henry. anything to look for in these guys...when we see them tomorrow night?

According to the Bruins website, this is the lineup we should see tonight here in Sunny Halifax

Group A should consist of…

Andrew Alberts, P.J. Axelsson, Patrice Bergeron, Byron Bitz, Zdeno Chara, Andrew Ference, Manny Fernandez, Shane Hnidy, Phil Kessel, Chuck Kobasew, David Krejci, Brad Marchand, Adam McQuaid, Jeff Penner, Kevin Regan, Jeremy Reich, Maxime Sauve, Vladimir Sobotka, Ryan Stokes, Marco Sturm, Nate Thompson, Shawn Thornton

And also a possibility of Ryder.

Should be a good game!!!!

I also know that the Metro Centre IS going to go NUTS when they introduce Tangay, he's still a hero to many Moosehead fans here and it will definately be a HABS friendly crowd with alot of red in the stands!

Per rds.ca

AK47-Plek-SK74

MaxPac-Ben Maxwell-Tanguay

Steve Bégin-Maxime Lapierre-Mathieu Dandenault.

Ryan Flynn-Mike Glumac-Yanick Lehoux

Roman Hamrlik-Yannick Weber

Alex Henry-Josh Gorges

Chad Anderson-Ryan O'Byrne

Jaroslav Halak

Loïc Lacasse.

Those forward lines look pretty sweet. I am definitely listening to CJAD tonight so I know how well the Pacioretty, Maxwell, and Tanguay line is doing. I have high hopes for all three of those players! Does anyone think Flynn will drop the gloves? Our defence looks a little skimpy tonight, though. Perhaps it's because I don't know anything about Henry and Anderson.

Does anyone know what time (EST) the game starts?

From the Game Preview:

"While the Canadiens' bench will feature a mix of youth and experience, the Bruins are expected to ice a veteran-heavy lineup. Patrice Bergeron will likely see his first shift since suffering a devastating season-ending injury back on October 27 of last year while Manny Fernandez will get the start between the pipes. They’re expected to be joined by familiar faces Zdeno Chara, P.J. Axelsson, Phil Kessel, Chuck Kobasew and Marco Sturm.

As for former Hab Michael Ryder, he’ll have to wait just a bit longer before lining up against his former mates."

So,... no Ryder from what I understand.

Anyone know if this game is being radio broadcast? There was a 'Listen' link on the home page for the longest time but now it's removed.

I know the game doesn't count for much but it's been so blasted long that I'll take anything.

i'm pretty sure it starts at 6pm.

is cjad definitely airing the game tonight? i know they have in the past.

it does look like a vet-heavy lineup for the bruins. the only player that seems to be missing is savard. ryder's probably a little relieved not to be playing. ;)

Yeah, game starts at 7 in Halifax. Time zone math equals 6 in the East and 4 Mountain.

I was thinking/hoping/wishing/praying CJAD would be airing the game but I looked on their website and didn't see any mention of it on their schedule.

I thought Bondarchuk would be dressed for Boston, I'll be disappointed if he isn't... it'd be great to see a game featuring 3 of the greatest ever to wear a mooseheads uniform. (btw, watch out for this Bondarchuk kid.. he's good.)

Looking forward to seeing tanguay tho, and what number he'll be wearing XD

He's from Halifax isn't he? That would be nice to see him in the lineup.

I'm suprised to see this many vet's in the game it should be a good one.

they know we are all dieing to watch hockey and they cant even put it on the air whats up with that?!?!?!?!

I can't speak for RDS or TSN but if CBC were showing a hockey game tonight, you can bet it would probably be the Laffs-Sabres game.

1st in the Conference after the Regular Season last year and the Habs still don't get any respect. Only 15 games on the dock for CBC this year.
