Habs Goal Song

Recommended Posts

I would agree that a good song with have both an English and French mix to it. Something that can keep the French media happy but pump up the fans.

I think the players choose the song however. I do recall two years ago in an interview Higgins mentioning something along those lines...

Really?

I find that surprising, but I guess it's possible.

I always imagined the goal-song decision being very corporate. Such that record labels paid the team owners to play their song, and stuff like that.

The old goal song won't come back. It was owned by Molson and ever since they sold the team, the rights no longer belong to the Canadiens. If you look closely in some commercials for Molson, they play the goal song in the background.

Believe it or not, I haven't heard of Annakin Slayd until a few weeks ago on TheTeam990. Ever since then I have been listening to it like crazy.

Raise #25 to the Sky

Every time a goal is scored the main chorus should be played. It is freakin awesome.

For all the criticism that Bob Cole gets, hearing him make the call at the end of that video still gives me chills.

Heres hoping he makes one more call for us like that this year.

That's a great idea! Probably the best alternative to the L'Oreille song that I've seen suggested on these boards! That's a great goal song.

Oh my god...it's Samba di Amigo  *gets out the maracas and Dreamcast*

For soccer, sure, for hockey...eh...no thanks... Needs more rock'n'rock.

L'oreille was the best song EVER. Every time we scored every1 starts chanting and you can feel the intensity rise. The sound also Reminds me of the Atlanta Braves, with all the fans waving their tomawaks.

WHOAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOO!!!

#1 reason why we need to bring back the L'oreille goal song.... Because we are going on 4 years now and we are still talking about it..

L'oreille is the only one I'd like. But who decides which song they play? Maybe send them a petition saying we want it back lol.

Petitions are against forum rules so we can not organize that from here..

Also there are many petitions out there on the web for the return of the old goal song.. They have been going for 3 years and it hasn't worked yet.
