FlHabsFan
http://canucks.nhl.com/team/app/?service=p...rticleid=385125 Tampa sends Shane O'brien and Michel Oullet to Vancouver for defenceman Lukas Krajicek and right wing Juraj Simek. Why do I get the feeling that the theme song for the lightning this year will be "If I only had a brain" from the wizard of oz? The team had 3 good defensemen in Boyle, Picard and Ob. All of which have been sent to other teams.

You've never heard of Krajicek? He's easily the best player in this deal. A 25 year old, smooth skating defensman who just finised the last 2 seasons scoring 100pts in 117 games? Time will tell but I think TB may have just stolen a tremendous deal here. Ouellet should score (and thats what vancouver was missing) but I suspect a few years down the road this will be looking like a big flop for gillis. Obrien is fine but likely will drop to Vancouver's 3rd pairing in depth charts. Simek likely wont ever make the nhl

Wayne-1
Pretty much. And Oullette was sent right to the teams farm club in Manitoba.that may have been because he was already in Norfolk and they didn't want to risk re-entry waivers, so he just moved to the Canucks farm club... tony1234
Krajicek gives the Lightning a good puck moving Dman to get the offense started. It is't as bad a move as some think. Watch the trouble Sydney will have with Gonchar and Whitney out.....

koreysecord1992
Maybe Oullette wasn't anyone I guessed, but I was fully expecting some movements on the Lightning forward front.
FlHabsFan
Oulette was a victim of the free agency period. When the team brought in Halpern and put the 2 together, their line started to click. They gave the team something it lacked up to that point. A 2nd consistant line. O'brien is way better than krajicek and ouellet is better at the moment than simek. I think o'brien is a lesser komisarek in the style he plays and is sooooo underrated. Maybe i wrong maybe im right who knows but from what i've seen, i really think krajicek is overrated and o'brien is underrated.
