Well, we have an offseason thread, but the offseason is now officially over! That's right the season is here, so discuss all MLB action here.

Glavine looked great tonight, that's exactly what the Mets need from him this season.

Even during the latter years of their great division run the Braves were notoriously slow starters and usually made up for it from June on, with the NL being so tight and wide open this season they can’t afford that, they have to come out playing good ball, and continue with some sort of consistency throughout the season. Which was a major problem last year.

It's all tied up at the bottom of the ninth between the Jays and Tigers... close game indeed. Stupid Yankees had to tie it up

I don't talk baseball until a team has won the Stanley Cup. I haven't followed since the Expos left ;)

I think I will get back into it...or try to this season.

now gotta see if some players I liked and met still play. LMAO : /

I have to agree with Lecavalierrocks let's go Yanks. I heard that

Chin Mein Wong is injured and wont be pitching until the end of April.

Andy will do good regardles of his back injury.

I hope the Yankees have a way better season than the Mets.

just like you guys enjoy Montreal beating up on Toronto I like to see

the Yankees beat up the Mets.

First of all, I would like to say "hello" to all the contributors of this thread. I will discuss about baseball with you guys from now on.. I will bring som update on my team, the Indians.

Good start for my Tribes.. 12-5 win over Chicago. Sabathia had a good start.. The young guns played a good game, Peralta and Sizemore. It may been a little bit soon but I really believe in our chances of winning the division.

To add to my last post(5mins max to edit)

It will be a good race in the central between ChiSox, the Tribes and the Twins. We have a pretty decent attack with Haffner, Sizemore, Blake, Nixon and Martinez. A good defense with the addition of the sophomores, Barfield and Marte. A good top for starter, Sabathia, Lee, Sowers and Westbrook. Our weakness may be our bullpen.. Betancourt and Cabrera should do a good job but I'm not a big fan of Borowski.

The central is probably the best division in baseball skill wise. Thats right, better and tougher then the AL east imo. Four good teams each with a chance to take the title. Add to that the up and slowly coming royals, this could be even worse next season!

My A's locked in a big pitching duel at the moment, Hernandez of the mariners and Haren have only allowed 3 hits between then going into the bottom of the 6th!

WOW.

I'm impressed.

Great start for both my teams.

Blue Jays;

Halladay was decent.

Jannsen was excellent.

BJ Ryan was.. well BJ Ryan.. which is great.

Frasor and Downs did their job.

Overbay started the doubles all over again.. very good game.

Glaus hit the winning RBI.. good job. He played pretty good.

Clayton, who I don't like a lot, was fantastic.

Hill was average.

Johnson had a great game.

Wells was okay.

Rios was pretty good.

Zaun called a good game, decent game overall.

Thomas was okay. Looks like he'll be good this year.

Smith, Stairs, and McDonald all got in the game. McDonald made a nice play and Smith scored.

The Pirates;

All I'm going to say is WOW.

I didn't expect and opening day victory..

but Duke was GREAT.

and Bay.. well he was fantastic.

PS. MLB TV (online) has a 5-day trial going on right now.

I love how A-Rod was booed all night yesterday and when he hit the game-winning HR he was the hero ;)

A-Rod is a douchebag..

Braves back to work tonight after a day off last night, Hudson's first start of the year, I keep hearing that he's in much better shape and he won't let the embarassment that was last season happen again.

I'm excited to see how he looks, hopefully he can finally be the pitcher he was in Oakland.
