A "fan" threw a bottle of water at the out-fielder trying to catch a fly ball. Idiot TO fan.

No word on whether he was ejected.  Toronto 5 Baltimore 2, 11 innings Edwin Encarcion got a two seam fastball over the inside part of the plate.  Orioles manager Buck Showalter comes under criticism for not using his top reliever.

Apparently, it was a woman who threw the can, and she left afterwards. They have video proof it was a blonde (insert laughter here) who did it.

Cleveland 5 Boston 4.  Three home runs by Cleveland in the third inning and missed chances by Boston are the highlights of Game 1.  Boston left two runners in the fifth and the tying run at third in the eighth.  The Red Sox also had a runner cut down at the plate in the first inning.  Cleveland leads the series 1-0.

Chicago Cubs 1 San Francisco 0.  Javier Baez sends a 3-2 fastball over the left field wall in the eighth inning for the game's only run.  The Giants missed a couple of chances and had a runner caught stealing in the first inning and a runner picked off first base in the third.  Defensive plays helped keep the Giants in the game.

Toronto 7 Texas 6, 10 innings.  A throwing error by second baseman Rougned Odor attempting to complete a doubleplay allows Toronto to complete a three game sweep.  Josh Donaldson scored on the play when the errant throw got away from first baseman Mitch Moreland.  A wild pitch tied the game in the sixth inning.

San Francisco 6 Chicago Cubs 5, 13 innings.  Joe Panik's RBI double to right center brings home the winning run in the 13th.  Giants bullpen shut the down the Cubs on three hits in eight innings.  One of them, however was a game tying two run homer in the top of the ninth.  A diving catch in the 12th and double play in the 13th helped keep San Francisco alive.  Cubs lead the series 2-1.

Chicago Cubs 6 San Francisco 5.  Cubs takes advantage of a bullpen meltdown in the ninth to score four runs.  A throwing error by shortstop Brandon Crawford trying complete a double play on a bunt allowed the go ahead run to reach second base.  Another throwing error in the fifth allowed Javier Baez to reach third base and a run on a sacrifice fly.  The Giants reached the postseason despite 30 blown saves, the most of any postseason qualifier since the statistic became official in 1969.  Cubs win the series 3-1 and advance to the NCLS.

Los Angeles Dodger 4 Washington 3.  Dodger bullpen bails starting pitcher who couldn't get out of the third inning.  Dodgers also jump on Washington bullpen for a four run seventh after starter Max Scherzer allowed a game tying home run to start the inning.  Washington had a runner picked off first base to end the fifth and a runner gunned out at the plate by 30 feet to end the sixth.  Clayton Kershaw got the final two outs in the ninth with runners at first and second. Dodgers win series 3-2 and advance to the NLCS to face the Cubs.

Cleveland 2 Toronto 1.  A home run and Rajai Davis manufacturing a run in the third give Cleveland a 2-0 series lead.  Davis beat a relay throw to complete a doubleplay, stole second, went to third on a passed ball, and scored on single.  Josh Tomlin and three relievers combined to shut Toronto down on three hits.  The Blue Jays' refusal to adjust to Cleveland's pitching contributed.

Chicago Cubs 8 Los Angeles Dodgers 4.  Miguel Montero sends an 0-2 hanging slider into the right field seats in the eighth inning to foil a strategy of two intentional walks.  The Dodgers had a runner cut down at the plate and Dexter Fowler made two catches to rob LA of extra base hits.  Javier Baez escaped a possible run down to steal home after Jon Lester missed a safety squeeze bunt.  Cubs lead the series 1-0.

Los Angeles Dodgers 1 Chicago 0.  Clayton Kershaw shuts down Chicago on two hits in seven innings of work using mostly fastballs with sliders mixed in Kershaw's later innings.  The Cubs could do nothing against Kenley Jansen who threw nothing but cut fastballs.  Both of Chicago's hits came in the fifth innings, but a foul out to third ended their only threat.  Los Angeles got only three hits, but one of those was a cutter over the plate to Adrian Gonzalez who sent it over the left field wall for the only run of the game.

Cleveland 4 Toronto 2.  Cleveland's bullpen shuts down Toronto on two runs and seven hits in 8 2/3 innings after starter Trevor Bauer left with a lacerated little finger.  A hanging changeup and two seam fastball that drifted back over the plate accounted for two of Cleveland's runs.  Cleveland turned a second inning doubleplay and Jason Kipnis ran down a ground ball behind second for the final out of the game.  Toronto also missed chances in the first and seventh innings.
