CANADIENS27
Chicago Cubs 6 St. Louis 4. The gopher ball proves to be St. Louis' undoing as the Cubs eliminate the Cardinals from the postseason. Javier Baez drove a two seam fastball on the outside part of the plate over the right field wall for a three run shot in the second inning. Anthony Rizzo nailed a curveball left over the plate and meant for a foot off the outside corner to right field and Kyle Schwarber nailed a four seam fastball. Last night's win marked the first time the Cubs clinched a playoff series at home and the first time they won consecutive postseason games at home since 1907 against Detroit. habs_93
Aw, c'mon Kinot. I was 6 years old the last time the Jays were good. Can't you at least hold off revelling in their failure until an NLCS appearance?

Can't you at least hold off revelling in their failure until an NLCS appearance? That means that you have ample time left in your life to see them in the POs again. Butterfingers! habs_93
It's getting ugly now, though. This reminds me a bit of the Cardinals-Braves infield fly rule game from a few years back.

CANADIENS27
Toronto 6 Texas 3. Shoddy fielding by Texas allows Toronto to score four runs in the seventh, three of them unearned. Elvis Andrus booted a ground ball, a poor throw by Mitch Moreland attempted to get the force at second, and dropped throw at third on another force play, this time on a sacrifice bunt. Two force plays brought home the first run, before Jose Bautista launched a two seam fastball that stay on the inside part of the plate into the second deck. Texas also missed scoring chances in the second, sixth, and eighth innings. Texas became the first team in postseason history to make three consecutive errors in one inning. Toronto wins series 3-2 and will play Kansas City.
