Nhl Mulls Idea Of A Second Team In Toronto

It has nothing to do with the city because plenty of people here in Florida know where LA or Nashville or Long Island is. The common thread is that these teams are not that good. Good teams draw!! Also popular teams draw...Toronto is an example of that, they aren't that good but they have alot of fans down here during the season.

That's not always true. Look at the Devils, they're a great team, won a couple cup, yet they do not draw. When the Rangers play the Devils in the Dirty Jerz, half the crowd is for the Rangers. It takes more than just winning to draw fans.

Yes you are correct, I was refering to the southern teams like the Panthers who are trying to build a fan base. I wish they could but I'm not sure they can. My point is that if the Panthers or the Thrashers or some other low attendence team were to be moved to Toronto or Hamilton, they would become a stronger franchise because they would be assured of high attendence for their home games, that is something they don't have now. IF the Panthers or Thrashers were in Canada and the Blues came in, the attendence would be significantly higher than it would be where they are now. Moving one of these teams to Canada would insure high attendence for at least half of their games (home games) I'm sure their TV revenue would be higher, and that should make them a stronger franchise.........please if you're going to do this, take the Thrashers so I can still go watch the Canadiens at least twice a year in Miami.....
