PJ Stock, although not the most astute hockey observer IMHO, says Habs fans are Bi-polar !!!

I would suggest they are, and have not taken their meds for three days or more !!!

Thanks for your post. You keep thinking that we're doing okay. Keep thinking that our defense is gelling and keep thinking that last night was our only game where we looked bad.

One last thing, if you post to insult us, then please don't. I've been playing hockey my whole life, I'm in my forties and I'm still playing in a men's A league with 20 year olds that have played division 1 and I can still hang with them. I've also been coaching for the last 15 years at high levels. So since you play hockey and you know the way it goes, I won't bother to respond to any more of your posts.

Thank God for that

Hmm 4 goals in the 3rd period, big come from behind win, I appreciate it alot actually. We are 8-1-1 and according to some of you we havent even started to work during games, although we were 10 -10 in pk against the canes, doubled the big bad ducks in shots in our only lose, Price is top 5 in all goalies stats, our defense is starting to gel as well as our top 3 lines, and all this without 2 of top wingers out for half these games.

I am very well aware of the work ethic of this team, I agree we are not playing to the best of our abilities, but we are 8-1-1 and havent even hit mid season form yet, I like our chances.

So like I said I appreciate this win, even more so keeping positive throughout the whole thing, unlike 90% of the people here.

LAstnight was the first time we looked bad, things werent clicking, the other games we played good, just got outshot,

but those of us who actually play hockey know thats the way it goes, sometimes things just arent clicking, the bounces just arent goin your way.

Go Habs GO

Please don't insult the intelligence of those who do not play the sport. My grandma said years ago while watching the Habs on a Saturday night. "God, if the puck bounced the other way, the outcome would of been different". She was referring to a loss to the Hawks (a great 2 way game btw) and she was just like most fans, never a player, just a fan. Any fan with an iota of knowledge of the sport can surely figure out the bounces from excuses. And last night there were no excuses for the first two periods.

True.

While playing hockey can give an insight into some areas, it does not grant a special vision or knowledge. Unless you were playing the game in question as a member of one of the teams, you see exactly what everyone else sees. When it comes to les Canadiens, we are all spectators. You can interpret what you see in any fashion you wish, but your interpretation is still only that, an interpretation. It is no more or less valid than any other fan of the sport.

If there's one thing that Begin is good at is forecheck and PK. I, for one, am glad that those guys get a chance to get their legs going as they're only victims of our great depth this season, nothing else. If we let them sit too long, not only won't it be good for the team spirit, but they'll be rusty and won't be able to perform as well when we need them to.
I've always understood that's the same page BG and Carbo are on: platoon system to help ensure players are ready when called upon due to injury, bereavements, illness, etc. Keeps the 4th line guys on their toes as well; those that are playing well get "extra" games, and/or the more important ones, etc.

O'Byrne and Brisebois will continue to platoon as well. Even if Brise was playing better, O'Byrne is not going to continue to develop by sitting. Come play-offs, it is whoever is playing better gets games.
