Hab Stars Of The Night

Bourne

Recommended Posts

While NHL.com does this for every player league, I figured it may be fun for everyone to list their top three stars of the night and I shall keep track on this initial post up until the conclusion of the season and see who ends up #1 based on fan opinion. The score will be based on the players with the overall most votes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd star. Thus if ten posts claim Koivu as the 1st star of the night whereas five others claim Markov, Koivu would score that night.

Scoring is as followed...

First Star - Three Points

Second Star - Two Points

Third - One Point

Steve Begin - 0

Francis Bouillon- 0

Patrice Brisebois - 0

Mathieu Dandenault - 0

Josh Gorges - 0

Jaroslav Halak - 0

Roman Hamrlik - 0

Chris Higgins - 0

Saku Koivu - 0

Mike Komisarek - 0

Andrei Kostitsyn - 0

Sergei Kostitsyn - 0

Tom Kostopoulos - 0

Alexei Kovalev - 0

Robert Lang - 0

Maxim Lapierre - 0

Georges Laraque - 0

Guillaume Latendresse - 0

Andrei Markov - 0

Tomas Plekanec - 0

Carey Price - 0

Ryan O‘Byrne - 0

Alex Tanguay - 0

It is unfortunate I did not think of this upon the season start however no matter. I shall post once during the next game as a space to keep track more easily. Anyhow my votes for tonight's game would be...

1st Star: Chris Higgins

2nd Star: Carey Price

3rd Star: Saku Koivu

Updated, although after last night's game I believe this will be: "Hab that showed up"

Koivu

...

...

Yeah I turned the game off after the first. Ramey's kitchen Nightmare was certainly more entertaining.

1- Price < obvious > stellar effort in both first and third. No blame or shame for him.

2- Lats - hard on the forecheck, fast and very mobile. Some long shifts, but none that hurt.

3- The rest of the team <following Carbos lead- don't want to hurt anyones feelings >

Seriously, I found no one to be that good aside from Price and Lats. Everyone seemed slow and lost. I cannot give a third star as I have no real 'standout' from the rest. Langs goal was nice, but it was about the only thing he did.
