DA_Champion
Ugh guys the same lines are written in a different order on habs inside out: Like this: A. Kostitsyn - Koivu - D'Agostini Higgins - Lang - Kovalev Tanguay - Plekanec - Kostopoulos Begin - Lapiere - Laraque
BigBADHabs
Glad to see Sergei sitting, his performance of late is very selfish and not very productive they should almost send him back down to Hamilton to workout his issues how many games do you have to play before you have to clear waivers? Without AK27 and our power play which is pretty much the same thing I think Alex got half the points if not more on the powerplay last year and if he doesn't start producing we will be just a middle of a pack team. I think some of our player over achieved last year and as a result made a them a little lazy. Anyways I'm going with a shootout lose tonight unless these lines can click then it would be a 5-2 habs victory
maximus123
Oh no! Tanguay isn't playing with Koivu Carbo is most likely doing to Tanguay like he did to Higgins. Bring the injured player back in and start him off on the 3rd line he will be on the 1st in no time. I think I hadnt even realised that, Koivu and Tanguay were a great duo, maybe Tanguay can get Plekanec back on his game, Plekanec aint a bad player neither! GreekHockeyCoach
Kosto on the 1st line means all the other shufflings Carbo has done so far are not as effective as they should be. Might as well try it, it can't hurt. Besides, it's not as if we were playing the Wings... Oh wait, when we DO play the Wings, we play like a team that is focused on the goal to achieve (to win) and we put some effort in it. Let's hope the boys learn the lesson and get the win tonight, it doesn't matter if it's Atlanta or any other team. Go Habs Go !!! PS : Could anyone explain me why the hell does Laraque ASK before fighting anyone ? As if the game was a blowout or anything ? Can't he just grab someone and kick his "derriere" if he disrespects one our players ? Or is he too scared about the repercussion from the league ? What's the worst that can happen ? That he misses some games ? Yeah, big deal. Now Komi out for a month, THAT wouldn't be good. Wait.... PS2 (not the gaming system) : Sorry for the bad word, it wasn't on purpose ! Hmmm, swearing again Not to act smart, but instead of PS2 it's PPS
matt-gt-go-habs-go
well I don't like the lines but then again im not a coach...I really love andrei with koivu though it is about time carbo tryed that....I would have preferred kovy with pleks and tanguay to see what they can do but i guess carbo is waiting for kovy and langs chemistry to click again....love laraque back in the lineup despite what anyone else says...One thing that angers me though is kostopolous on the first two lines! It has to be the dumbest move ever...he is a grinder not a scorer so play him where he should play..I mean I love the guy but he has no offensive talent and and IMO he makes it harder for whatever offensive line he is on to score. But we'll see what happens GO HABS GO On a side note i'd like to say that i hope sergei and guy(if hes not injured) should be in next game. I thought guy has been playing good lately and i'm not anywhere near his biggest fan but I give credit where credit is due.I do understand sergei sitting as he took some very selfish penalties(one resulting in a goal) but I just have a feeling that if given the chance next game he'll explode
js2
Isn't Latendresse injured? Healthy scratch. Carbs says he needs to be better and play better. Just like I've been saying, he hasn't been playing as good as what some people here think.

There is no Laraque situation, he has a groin injury and asks people very politely if they want to fight him. If they refuse he goes back to the bench. Isn't that what every enforcer does? If they refuse he goes back to the bench. Isn't that what every enforcer does? Then what in heaven does he enforce ? Polite behaviour ? I don't know, maybe it's just me (in fact, it probably is me) but isn't the point of having an enforcer to make the players on the other team scared of even touching our important players, or setting the mood for a future game ? Case in point : the game @ boston, we lost in an horrible way, lucic gets to injure Komi and then gloat about it, and Laraque asked him to fight, nothing happens. What happens in the next game in Mtl ? Nothing. I don't know, .... clock him one and afterwards say to him something in the lines of "touch (Habs player) again, I'm really going to hit you hard" and then wait for the league to decide what to do. I don't think Laraque being suspended for a few games is going to hurt us a lot if it means other teams will realize our team will not get intimidated. However, I do know that every other player in the lineup can do the same thing, to a certain extent. It's just that it's Laraque job, supposedly. Kostitsyn - Koivu - D'Agostini Higgins - Lang - Kovalev Tanguay - Plekanec - Kostopoulos Begin - Lapiere - Laraque This is more like it . . . much improved over the RDS posting. Kostopoulos on the 1st. line ??? Love the way he plays, but he is a 'a in-your-face checker' not a play-maker or goal scorer. He is capable of skating with Tanguay & Plekanec, perhaps they will be the line that tries to contain Kovalchuk?. The more you look at it, the better it looks. With the exception of Laraque and Lang, it is a very fast lineup.

concreteveins
I wish Carbo would just leave the lines and not switch them up every game. On the plus side I heard on TSN that Kovalchuck was practicing with the fourth line to try and switch things up. It probably wont stay that way but if it did that would be a hell of a match up. MMW half way through this game when the lines are sucking bad, Higgins - Koivu - Kostpolous goes together and scores two goals. Habs win 4-2. I mean Tanguay could do just fine with Pleks and very well give him that little push he needs to get back on track, and still give Dag's some quality minutes playing with Koivu before he goes back to Hamilton. but no: the short version is Carbo lost it again
habsgal
I like to add what was already said in here re BGL. Pleasssssse drop the manners and drop your gloves. The opposition is taking way too many liberties with our players for my liking. I didn't really follow George throughout his career and only knew that he was one of the best, if not the best fighters in the league these past few years. I saw many a pounding that this guy dished out through some highlight reels because of the dirty chops and such given to his teammates. If he is unwilling and too nice of a guy to do what BG asked him to do when he signed on - then, in my opinion, there's no use for him being in the line-up. chromedome_mtl
looks to me this morning like we're in for a mauling. hands of stone undo the day. hopefully by 7 things will start to perk up, but i'm not too optomistic. read: returns from injuries=some rust, no commonality in spreading sticks around arenas, contract eyes, lively boards don't help when you miss the net. ????
