Wow!! Didn't realize that Fleury always stinks against the Leafs!! Why does he even dress against them?

Plus, this one, this season:

Fleury's game (based on stats, at any rate) is no where near his play of last season. But, then again, that's just the stats speaking.

Career stats vs Toronto is 2.86 .905

However GAA and SV% tell us very little, Fleury has actually been one of the best goalies in the league this year if you see the quality of the shots he faces game in and game out.

He was getting steadily better each year, capped by quite a stellar year last year, especially in the play-offs. This season, he looks much more like the (young) Fleury of a few years ago, and his stats bear that out (.903 and 3.07).

However, those that feel they want to click his name on the All-Star Ballot are entitled to do that, no matter their reason(s).

His shot quality against is 88.5 though and yet he has a .907 (these stats haven't been updates from yesterday) which means hes playing 32 % better than projected, thats elite.

For comparisons record Price only is playing 9% better, and Thomas 5% better.

Well, the hockey gods were looking down on us last night, we got a few lucky PP's. I guess that's the way puck bounces.

Tonight's game should be interesting, but i hope whoever is reffing, isn't going to try and "right" things from last week. I'd like the habs to beat the caines fair and square, show them that we can win without outside help.

Hope price isn't going to be rusty (knock on wood), really have to give it to Halak for stepping in and protecting the net while Price was recovering.

STANDING "O" FOR HALAK!

WELCOME BACK PRICE!

LET'S GO HABS!

*Btw, it was funny how Ruff was so upset over one penalty, would've like to see how he would've reacted if the sabres had 11 in a row and us with only 1.

Anyways, different game, focus is on tonight's game.

.... and for the players to payback Carbo, too. He's giving them the week off after this game. No practices, no games, until they play in Pittsburgh next Saturday. Five days at home to spend with the family on the Holidays.

Show the faith back, players. 100% (focused) effort tonight.

actually as stated today by Gazette writer Mike Boone the team has practices scheduled for tomorrow and tuesday,

murray wilson on cjad just said that the canes had only 1 minor penalty in the last 3 games  !

i dunno, but i haven't noticed many games where a team takes 0 penalties. something going on with canes management and the nhl? are the canes just that much more displined that every other team? judging by the game where the penalties were called 11-1 against us, my answer is no, they are not.

officiating in the nhl is very suspect.
