leafs_rock_go_mccabe
By the sounds of it, not only is going to score more points per game than Stamkos, but he's also much more interesting and can speak English better!
Wayne-1
By the sounds of it, not only is going to score more points per game than Stamkos, but he's also much more interesting and can speak English better! well, that was a translation of an interview conducted in Russian... I don't know if it's simply a cultural thing that Russians are less guarded with the media -- 'don't like what was written? have the writer whacked' worked for Putin -- or since it was a Russian-language interview, the player thinks it's only for the media in Russia and the North American media won't pick up on their comments... tobacco-chewing Ovechkin is kind of outrageous even with American media, but that's clearly because of his entire personality... Yeah, there is a definitely a different degree of openess conducted in Russian media interviews, it seems. So often, North Americans also seem to mistake this degree of openess as a general cockiness, or something. It is, for me, a refreshing, interesting, and honest interview style. Also, I find it hard to like Stamkos, so anytime Filatov wants to throw some oil on the fire, go right ahead young sir!
