Larry-Horse
Legace on Waivers. Written by Lyle Richardson Friday, 06 February 2009 14:05 ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH: reports the Blues have placed goaltender Manny Legace on waivers. If he goes unclaimed by noon ET on Saturday he'll be demoted to their farm team in Peoria. SPECTOR'S NOTE: My thanks to everyone who sent this in. Legace is apparently not happy about this. We'll find out soon enough if he'll be claimed or demoted. http://www.spectorshockey.net/index.php?op...4&Itemid=

RicochetII
Legace has cleared waivers and been assigned. I find this shocking. There are a number of teams in need of at least a backup. You have to assume they are waiting for re-entry waivers to claim him for half the salary. Good opportunity for someone has gone away for the sake of $1.25M. SteenIsThaFuture
Hes still a good goalie, anyone who watches those games know hes hung out to dry more than Gerber or Fleury, I would be frustrated too, he does his job, but his teammates don't. This one I have to agree with you. I guess I will get a chance to see him play over here in Hamilton soon aginst our dogs. Gerber was good last night I heard for Baby Senns but Dogs pulled it out in OT. Marc let a soft one in agin at last min almost blew for the second home game in a row. Guest ForeverGuyLafleur
If Carey Price really needs so badly a big brother as some stated, I wonder why we didn't go for him and force a trade with Halak. In any case, we need at least one veteran goalie in our goaltending pair.
