js2
Tonight Mike Green of the Washington Capitals set an NHL record for defencemen by scoring a goal in 8 consecutive games. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=267186&lid...s=headlines_nhl Pretty crazy as he has a healthy lead in scoring for defencemen right now with 50 points in only 43 games and he's only 23 years old. gracie12
Just when you thought Markov would finally get some consideration for the norris (as lidstrom, pronger etc are having slow (by their standards) seasons)...along comes this guy (and weber for that matter!!) Wayne-1
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/capitalsi...lts_1.html#more Boudreau said he sought permission from GM George McPhee, team attorney Don Fishman and referee Tom Kowal before the game to make sure it would be okay of all of Green's teammates spilled onto the ice to congratulate him if he scored a goal. Boudreau was assured that no penalty would be called, so when Green hit the net, he leaned over the bench and barked out some instructions. "I told them, 'Go on the ice,'" Boudreau said. "They said, 'Are we allowed?' It was a pretty cool thing." One of the funnier moments of the night came late in the second period when Ovechkin and Green broke in on Karri Ramo on a 2 on 0. They passed the puck back and fourth FOUR times and then Ovechkin whiffed on the shot. "I don't know what they were doing," Boudreau said. "I don't think either one of them wanted to be the selfish one. I guarantee if Mike hadn't a scored before that, I know who would have gotten the puck." Zonave
wow, good for green. markov can still have a shot at the norris, but green and weber would have to self sestruct, or get injured. happend before right?
