So Bob, this is some team you built in our centennial year. I'm glad we waited five years for this.

ya we waited 5 years to miss the playoffs, wow

we missed in 03, missed in 07... ya this is exactly the plan that was in place

Been watching our Habs since the late 50's and seen a lot of great teams bring home the Stanley Cup, alas its been a long time since the last one and the way it looks its going to be a long time till the next one,as the team we have now officially sucks.I just dont understand how the team had so much going for it last year and this year they are a bunch of stiffs.I've always thought motivation plays a big part in a winning attitude and if i was the guy who signs the pay cheques i'd institute a policy of paying the players only for wins,if you lose you dont get paid.

The first 2 periods tonight where so boring that I almost fell asleep man Kovy could of made a difference tonight...Bob as you can see it is not Kovy's fault we are still losing only one person left to blame Carbo..Plus Stewart as not impress me at all those 2 games we would of had a better effort from Begin and D'ags is falling off the map to right now...Please Bob get rid of Carbo coaching or our season is done

You can pretty much blame this loss on an attempt to play too heavily of a defensive game.

While we concentrated on limiting chances, we were also limiting our own, in effect playing the defensive game for both teams and allowing Pittsburgh off easy as they only had to focus on their offense to beat us.

Seems we would have been able to score at will tonight, had that been our objective.

Yeah, hard to do much when TK is leading your forwards in ice time and you send the fourth line out after scoring on a 5-on-3.

Like I said before, in a close game, good coaching can be the difference between winning and losing.

Your sig says that Max Pacs is 6"4 - that is false I think. I've read 6"1 and 6"2.

Whats even more pathetic is when they try to play good defense THEY DONT, has anyone discusedd the abysmal postioning by the forwards in the D zone yet (I'm sure people have).

Yep, it's beyond brutal. Nobody actually plays man coverage, they cluster in the high slot and hope that somehow the puck comes to them, or else they chase run around the boards chasing the puck. No intelligent anticipation, no positioning, nothing. Is anyone teaching them how to play effectively in the defensive zone? Between Carbo, Jarvis, and Muller, how can they not know the basics here? Either they're the world's worst group of defensive forwards, or our coaches aren't getting the job done.

We have a fast team but Carbo wants them to play defense, everyone is afraid to make a mistake. There hasn't been any chemistry on this team from the get go. Carbo changes the lines more than I change my socks. Last night when we had all the pressure in their end with 1:25 left to go, Price is still in his net. It's not until the guys are dead tired before he hauls the goalie and we can't sustain that pressure. Carbo, do you remember the intensity of a seventh game in the finals. Play your talented players, a bit of grind is good, but utilize the speed. 1-2-2 ain't working.

After some signs of life in the Caps game (watched it), I really had my hopes that they could build on that to get it going again. Watching this game against the Pens, I was dissapointed. Something is really wrong with this team, and right now, I dont think its minor anymore.

Ofcourse a part of me still hopes for a turnarround... therefore: Go Habs Go!!!
