mlb54
He'll be back in the lineup against Boston. Maybe Lucic won't run from him like he did when Big Georges was on his tale.....?
js2
unreal if he gets picked up You know Dallas can get him back for a fraction of the price now.
Lynch_mtl
You know Dallas can get him back for a fraction of the price now. That'd be absolutely devastating.
sens27
You know Dallas can get him back for a fraction of the price now. I doubt the GM from dallas would do that. He would lose respect from 29 other GM'S......not a way to do buisness imo
animerules1x3
I don't think the Stars are allowed to claim a player they just traded, I'm pretty sure that a team cannot claim off waivers a player they owned during the year in motion. leafs_rock_go_mccabe
This better be part of an all around plan... Oh, probably not... It's probably just Bob G. moving Begin as a courtesy and having to take back some poor, washed up, D-man in the process. It does save us money, but I won't be surprised if nothing else happens for the CH before the deadline. Unless it's something as equally marginal, like trading Dandenault for a 7th rounder, or something.
Wayne-1
I just wanted to note that having Janik 'In the System' instead of with the Habs is premature... he hasn't cleared waivers yet -- he won't until noon Saturday, so he can't be demoted... franck5890
You know Dallas can get him back for a fraction of the price now. When picking players up off waivers, you take on the full salary unless the player is on RECALL waivers.
Guest
You know Dallas can get him back for a fraction of the price now. Actually,,, that would only apply if he was being RECALLED from waivers. There is no discount if he's picked up on the way down. I'm not sure what the ruling would be regarding Dallas making a claim, but by doing so, they would have to open up another roster spot, as Begin now has his on Dallas.
