RedLightRacicot
Why are we dressing this guy instead of sliding Dandenault back to D and activating D'Agostini or AK46? Excatly.......what's wrong with Dandenault? Janik should be the guy we go to when we don't have Dandenault as a option!

We do have Dandenault as an option. Dandenault can drop back to D as he is dressed as a forward.
jlgib21
Janek was solid, for his 1st game, better than O'byrne.I'd pair him and Dandy.
habs-24
i dunno he just aint gonna get it done imo, but this is what we have now
tache
I can answer the AK46 question. He's the type of player (IMO) who come end season is ready to head back to Russia. D'Ags should be dressing some how. Yeah AK46 it's a bad Russian guy like the movie bad guy and he don't speak English well . I don't want him in the Habs

Rocket-1
Can someone please explain me why this guy was called up in the first place? He played 17 games with hamilton and did nothing out of the ordinary.... i really don't get it. Shawn Belle has been our best defensive prospect defense wise all year long and he was never called up, i mean what is going on.... They bring us O'Byrne and this guy when Shawn Belle is +21 in 57 games. Way to go.

Way to go. and don't forget weber who is one of the best D in the AHL....at least on the PP. the way the D are managed in this team is simply poor poor poor. last year we let streit go and now mark is one of the best D in the entire nhl.....now we let o'byrne play...come one i am still asking myself why such a guy he's playing in nhl and then ok we have janik....nothing great about him...simply don't see what he can bring to the team....well gonna to be a very difficult end of the season....especially if play-off are missed.... puckoff1
QUOTE (paul_b @ Apr 7 2009, 12:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was gonna say he didn't play that badly, then Heatly scored!! man oh man. yeah he kinda got owned on that play, but it was also kinda dirty and could have been interference. he gets rocked at the point, but then whoever that was stands over him and holds him down doesnt let him get up and get back. 2 on 1 and scores. i didnt notice him too much tonight, but i wonder about belle too, wasnt he taking a regular NHL shift last year? I am quite certain that he was the one who launched the puck down. Like I said, I don't think he played to badly, considering it was his first game and all. Shawn Belle is still getting back into game shape after recovering from knee surgery(I believe it was his knee) and he's still noticeably not 100%. Anyway, I was impressed with Janiks first game. GreekHockeyCoach
Looks better than most of our defensemen yet he was in Hamilton while our over payed millionaires can't do the job.
AvtomatKos-yn
Wow, why was he sent down? He was doing a decent job, leagues better than O'Byrne.
Lynch_mtl
Wow, why was he sent down? He was doing a decent job, leagues better than O'Byrne. I guess we need that offensive punch that he wasn't going to give.
RedLightRonan
I guess we need that offensive punch that he wasn't going to give. Still, they could've sent down O'Byrne (can he still be sent down?) for Weber. I guess they wanted the size vs the Broons (though Janik is no midget). HabbiesMan
Doug Janik looks to be a decent player maybe a 5 or 6th defenseman next season if things go right for him. I was pleasently surprised in his first game with montreal (then I realized he already had over 100 nhl games under his belt and I said oh i see). I look forward to seeing him play next season, good size and seems like a smart player.
