Win-the-cup
The noose around the neck in the Eastern standings tighten around the teams in danger of missing the playoffs now....they're all "must win" games....no room to put players in the line-up who just show up to collect a pay cheque now. No room to put in a goalie to have him gain his confidence back. No player is bigger than the team. Halak is giving Montreal NHL level goaltending....winning about every 2 of 3 games he plays in as opposed to Price who only wins 1 of every 2 and in his last 10 games lets in a goal on about every 4 shots. The team still lacks trust in Halak's play when you see the low offensive shots on goal. The team is facing Philly whose won 6 & lost 6 against NE division clubs....so tonite's game is on the table & up for grabs. There's no looking back. While the team is responding to the tight race in the East......they still have someone behind the bench who can't be trusted to do the right thing. The powerplay has recently clicked and has been the difference in the last couple of victories. Who knows what it will do tonite. So long as Halak starts & finishes..... Montreal should win tonite.....3-1 or 4-2 and stay in the running for a playoff spot.

swimmerpuck
Interesting and fun GDT! LOL Thanks............. Mike Richards and the Habs power play make me really, really nervous. I'll hope for the best. This is the first game on the road since "the bomb". No better place to start than in Philadelphia. LOL I wish I could get to this game but just can't swing it. GO HABS GO! kristinoem7
Earlier this week Briere was expected to return tonight. Would love to see him come onto the ice for 1 shift and leave after reaggrivating his injury and be lost for the remainder of the season. Would be poetic justice!! Go HABlak Go! Flying_Lion
Ach! I just realized the game's on TSN and I've got pretty unalterable plans. I hate missing televised games. Oh well. Not much that can be done. Nice GDT. I appreciated the humour after the day I had yesterday. Hopefully the day will end with a Habs victory to take the edge off a long week. GO HABS GO!
