flames4eva
I would prefer Chips, Stewart, and Weber on the roster over Metro. However based on my best guesses for the roster there is room for Metro in the press box. Metro can play on the PK. Metro can center the 4th line. Metro has a low cap hit at $1 million per season. Metro should be able to jump from the press box to the starting 20 players easier then a rookie. With injuries, possible trades, and performance expectations it is nice to have a low cost center in the press box. Metro will be on our 23 man roster unless the Swede center signed this summer is ready for the NHL. I agree with the strategy of having game ready vets rather than our young players riding the pine. That said, you have to find those vets who are okay with doing that... Metro could be one player that fits that mold. The way things are going with the cap on a down-trrend, for the money alone some vets would be happy to be a part of the team even if they don't get to play that often. pitbull12
No sure if anyone else heard it but Metropolit was on the Team990 earlier today and when asked if there is anyone he can see in the dressing room right now who could wear the "C" his reply was, "No, not really." QbGamer
As much as i like this guy, i dont see him getting much ice time, We already have 2 shrimps as center. For the 4th line centerman, we could use someone with bigger size
