QbGamer
Watch this video http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_d...?urn=nhl,147010 Kinda funny around 50 seconds into the video, where Spezza knows he's busted and tries to break his own stick
CareyPrice31
LOL. It was really funny when he's like "Oh crap!" and then ran to the bench to trade his stick off but his plan failed.
Lynch_mtl
Tsk, tsk, tsk. How could he possibly think he could get away with it? Note for future reference, if ever we're down by a goal in the playoffs, and we're playing against Washington, it'd be time to make another famous stick measurement. QbGamer
At first he tries to step on it with his skate to break it, and then quickly skates over to the bench to swap it 2 funny
Wayne-1
I think he got away with breaking his stick because he did it before they asked him for it, if he did it after being asked, he would have got an extra 10-min misconduct and a whopping $200 fine

LudaKrishna1
personally the league shoulda enforced some sort of punishment i think mainly because HE KNEW it was illegal by doing what he did.....

leafs_rock_go_mccabe
Honestly... I wonder how many illegal sticks are currently in use around the league? I wonder how many are being used by players on our team every game?
Kubby31
Tsk, tsk, tsk. How could he possibly think he could get away with it? thefooligan5
Honestly... I wonder how many illegal sticks are currently in use around the league? I wonder how many are being used by players on our team every game? Peolpe just don't care anymore. In one sense I think coaches save the ruling for when they really need it. I sure there is a list of players known to have illegal sticks and if anyone is down by a goal in game 7 in the playoffs they could very strategically and legally whip that rule out of their pocket and potentially win the game. I think it's a good strategy.
