fourtrax
Sounds good in theory, except I live about 2500 miles away in South Florida What, you're not willing to blow dollars on a plane ticket to the Bell Center for a good cause? You clearly don't have the constitution to be a good sniper. It's like sales. You go where the job takes you. The dougnuts won't work, have you seen the size of those security guards, you think if they thought they got a crack at free dougnuts thats getting to the dressing room? There would be hell to pay if someone ate Brodeur's doughnuts. We could bring in another box filled with actual doughnuts to bribe the security guards. Or even better, ice-cream sandwiches which must be consumed before they melt (Arrested Development style!).
babinator77
Sorry, bigs, but this is one game for which I can't even feign a shred of optimism as to the outcome. But rather than circulate any further negative thoughts, I will gracefully bow out and let someone else -- ColRouléBleu, perhaps -- strap on the rose-colored glasses and inject some positivity into the proceedings. i only said it because i feel the same way. the only way the habs have a hope in h of winning this game is if the pressure finally gets to brodeur (unlikely). i'm banking on a halak miracle on this one. option c (not mine) - roy's son tonya harding's his butt

SK-11
Watch out for Brodeur, he's motivated to win this game to tie Roy's record. And he plays great when he plays against us.

I've bolded three words, and this is why i feel we will not win. Lack of motivation that this team does not show. The brodeur/halak showdown will be something to see. Kubby31
nice game thread GHC! All I know...is that if we play like we did vs. Edmonton and NYI.... we are going to get ruined! Hopefully Halak continues where he left off Yea well if all we have to count on winning is just halak,we are one heck of a desperate team. I want to see us play tonight's game like it was last game,do or die to make the playoffs. Man,they gotta want to win more badly than they have shown us,with exception to the goalies. We just cannot rely on goaltending alone to win our games for us. GOHABS
bruinsnation
Now, there's something to really get excited about, with the possibility of tying Patrick on Saturday," Brodeur said after the Devils set a franchise record with their ninth straight home win. "I'm happy we won and I'll be very happy to tie Patricks record in Montreal.

But rather than circulate any further negative thoughts, I will gracefully bow out and let someone else -- ColRouléBleu, perhaps -- strap on the rose-colored glasses and inject some positivity into the proceedings. :) I found this in my stuff but I think it belongs to you. Isn't that good news? you'll spend a relax and positive evening watching hockey Regarding the rose-colored glasses, I'm afraid they have to be either surgically grafted or congenitally formed for them to be fully effective. Just strapping them on usually doesn't cut it --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last 6 games vs the Devils: 1-Thu Jan 24, 2008 Canadiens 4 (Huet) Devils 3 (Brodeur) 2-Sat Mar 1, 2008 Devils 1 (Brodeur) Canadiens 2 (Price) 3-Tue Mar 11, 2008 Devils 0 (Brodeur) Canadiens 4 (Price) 4- Sat Dec 6, 2008 Devils 2 (Clemmenson) Canadiens 1 (Price) OT 5- Fri Jan 2, 2009 Canadiens 1 (Halak/Denis) Devils 4 (Clemmenson) 6- Wed Jan 21, 2009 Canadiens 2 (Price) Devils 5 (Clemmenson) I went in the players archive (guess which player ) to pull the exact text for hypnosis sessions that worked: listen to me, I'm the voice in your head, you are now totally under my control, nothing else exists but this voice, listen to me, nothing else , Martin Brodeur is beatable.... nothing else exists.... Martin Brodeur is beatable.... you will score against the Devils.... Martin Brodeur is beatable.... Martin Brodeur is beatable.... you will score against the Devils.... Martin Brodeur is beatable.... Martin Brodeur is beatable.... you will score against the Devils.... ok now, i will disappear in a few seconds, when I do, you will feel relaxed, confident and determined. When your team gets a Power Play tonight, you will hear me again and your actions will be guided by this confidence. I am leaving now ....three....two.... one..... OKay... habsgal
Nice GDT, Coach... I feel that Bob is using reverse psychology by inserting Breezby as he will be playing in his 1000th game. Will the boys get up for this miniscule feat compared to what Brodeur is shooting at? Don't get me wrong, 1000 games is a major accomplishment, however, the focus, all the attention will be on satan's boy. For once I would love dearly to see the boys create havoc in front of him. If we keep missing the net, taking shots from 40 feet out, no traffic and presence around that perimeter; Brodeur will have an easy time of it against the Habs, YET AGAIN. I'm sick and tired of this girlie play from the boys. It's about time that these guys pay the price when they enter our barn. Set the tone early, then we'll have a game. The Devils are known for their back end play, that's their bread and butter. In your face hockey from the drop of the puck - make Brodeur's night miserable. I want to see him fetching his water bottle at every stoppage.

jean-1
I see all the negativity and I can't imagine too many people in the media or anyone is seeing a Habs win tonight. But I am saying we fill the net tonight and run Marty from the net...... Go Habs Go!! We have been coming out strong, but not much production. That is gonna end tonight.... fourtrax
Is Kovy playing or still out sick? Any words? No word yet. He'll be evaluated today and they'll make a decision. If he's no longer contagious and even at 50% strength, I'd want him in. Half a Kovalev is still better than a whole D'Agostini.
