netcase
Despite their recent play, Im going to go with a Habs win. Why not, if this team plays like they can, there is no reason why they can't beat the Devils. Since BG has taken over, there has been a slight improvement in their game and Im going to say that continues tonight. I won't predict the score, but the Habs will win. GO HABS GO Exactly. They can play hard but just not for 60 minutes.
Kubby31
LOL....Amazing how we can get so stressed over the Habs. Yea,now if only our habs could show as much passion that we have ,and go out there and win this darn game tonight,we need these 2 pts baddddddddddddddddd. GOHABS Exactly. They can play hard but just not for 60 minutes. And you see the results we get playing 20 -30 min of playing hard.
Guest habs1952
Don't know what to wear tonight for good luck. New cap/old cap, new t-shirt/old t-shirt or new sweater/old sweater. Or should I just wear a bag? Decisions decisions.

netcase
Well, the roller coaster ride continues and we all know going down feels a lot worse than going up. I just hope Brodeur has to look for his next win somewhere else. I'm putting my money on Halak. He has come through for us no matter who we play and he will win this one for us tonight. Brodeur is great but we will get some bounces tonight and bury them. Don't know what to wear tonight for good luck. New cap/old cap, new t-shirt/old t-shirt or new sweater/old sweater. Or should I just wear a bag? Decisions decisions. Hopefully not the paper bag.
habskw
I don't understand why everyone is making such a huge kerfuffle about losing to the Islanders. Probably because we need every single last solitary point we can get if we're going to even have a prayer of making the playoffs. It doesn't matter who we play, weak or strong, we need to win. And against the Isles, getting outshot in the 2nd period the way we did, well, there's no excuse. None. There have been a lot of posters here saying things like "oh well it was only one game". Including at the beginning of the season. I tried to point out, back then, that we shouldn't take anything for granted and that those thrown away points could well come back to haunt us. It doesn't matter when you win, or when you lose, 2 points, or a lost 2 points, are the same. The math is all that matters.
ColRouleBleu
I wonder if we wear the Devils toques they gave us at the Prudential Center in January if it will jinx them. Naaah, cant risk wearing a barf bag on my head for nothing

audrey1188
On RDS it says that there are news on Laraque's injury and that it's really good news because he won't need surgery and will start to skate next week. Is it just me or I don't think it's actually good news. I really don't want to see Laraque back in the lineup, he's completely useless and has not even played half the games so it's even worse
habsgurl69
is kovy in tonight, how about latendresse, i think higgins, lapierre and latendresse would make a good line, but then you have to bump Nonstopolous to the 4th line, maybe he could fit in with kovy and pleks, i wonder, he does have some offensive skill

habskw
I was actually disgusted last Thursday with that. I think we were in good company. The only ones that didn't seem to mind were the ones on the ice, wearing the red, blue and white sweaters with the big C and little H on the front. Ya know, there have been some truly awful teams in the NHL that I've seen play over the last 40 years. But my guess is that you'd have to work pretty hard to find a team getting outshot like that, in the same period, 2 games in a row. Even the abysmal California Golden Seals probably couldn't match that record for utter futility (of course, if there are any statisticians in the crowd ...). I'm not giving up on the Montreal Canadiens as an organization and my team, but right now, this group of players really does disgust me at times (and no, I don't like saying that). No doubt, but in the last game thread it seemed like the apocalypse had hit or something. It was like we were a football team and had lost to the Detroit Lions or something. FanFromAB
If Montreal ever had players like Datsyuk and Zeterberg then they would of assurdly been run out of town for being soft. Neither are power forwards and have been "guilty" of being soft (especially in the playoffs) prior to them winning the cup last year. Matter of fact (to me that is), Detroit's roster would of been blown up because prior to last year, they had not won a cup since 2001-2002, they kept on getting knocked out in the first round by 8th seeded teams. Montreal fans and media would of criticized them saying that they were not built for the playoffs. Datsyuk and Zetterberg would of been packaged off. Yeah, they would of been chewed up and spitted out by fans and media. Ken Holland would not have lasted in Montreal as well. His team has too many Europeans. They only have 6 Canadians on the team. None of which are from Quebec. None of which speaks french. Captain is a Swede and so is the Alternate Captain. The other Alternate Captain is a Russian. Fair enough but the point; we do not need to finish in last place to have a successful team in the playoffs. Last time I checked, we haven't won the cup since 1993! His role in hockey is over....

QbGamer
I don't understand why everyone is making such a huge kerfuffle about losing to the Islanders. Yes, they aren't a good team. But they'd been pretty solid lately after having dumped Campoli, Comrie, and Guerin. They were on a bit of a hot-streak. It happens. Tonight however, we're going to have to be much better. New Jersey has quietly become one of the most well-rounded teams in the league. They're increasingly dangerous with the puck, and if they ever get ahead by more than a goal all I can say is "good luck". Brodeur is almost assuredly going to be on top of his game: his career numbers against Montreal include a 1.80 GAA and 8 shutouts. We're going to have to get up and in his face early and often. If we don't, we might as well stat prepping for New York on Tuesday. Islanders almost beat the Bruins today 2-1 very close game Bruins are 1st in the east 1 hr till game time.. Is kovy in? Is Lats in?
