infamousturk1907
I expect nothing less then a blowout. Last time we played the laffs we were down 4-0 but made it 4-2 with two quick goals. After that the lafs were so so lucky I don't know how they managed to make it out of the second period with the lead. We need the win, a win tonight puts us 5 points ahead of 8th and equal games played. If we win the Panthers will slowly forget about us and start focussing on the Rangers. More important then the 2 points (for me anyways) is beating this awful team, and blowing them out infront of their delusional fans. I'm pretty sure a majority of leafs fans still think they can make the playoffs . Gainy has been making the right moves. Tanguay, Kovalev, Koivu line has changed the face of this team, something Carbo would have never done. Kovalev is a monster, he's stepping up huge when we need him most. He's one of my favourite athletes in the world, and there is not a single player in this league that's more talented then him. Price has been great and Halak had a solid performance last game also. I want the Habs to obviously finish in the highest position they can, but I would love to play the over achieving boston bruins in the first round. Tim Thomas is due for a self destruction, and I'm willing to bet any person any amount of money that they're out first round regardless of who they play. gunner_canadian
i dont call a 3pt gap safe, we have an out of this world opportunity on the line here to push the gap to 5... are we going to let the Leafs stop us again? duckshooter
still don't know who's in and who's out, but I'm calling for a two point game from pleks....1G 1A. I think it will be a playoff atmosphere tonight, so I don't think it will be a blowout. My heart says 3-0 habs, but my head says 4-2 habs. If any montreal players are reading this.....don't listen to my head!!! lol

infamousturk1907
#8 OVIE ??? Ovechkin is the better player, bigger heart, faster, better shape. However if we're talking purely skill and talent no one in the league has what Kovalev does
duckshooter
P.S. I don't think the second lines weakness is pleks fault. Anyone want to add to that or correct me on that. A bird can't fly with broken wings.

Habsy1
I'm going to the game tonight! Habs fans will represent loud and proud tonight at Air Canada Centre. And hopefully we get a win. I'm 0-0-2 so far at games this season which were the CAR @ MTL game back in December and last week's contest at home against Buffalo.

habs-24
No taking this game for granted; we have to hit the Leafs hard early and often. They got dominated last night, and they'll be looking to redeem themselves. They will come out skating hard and hitting hard. We need to match their intensity from the start and not make life difficult for ourselves by giving up an early goal. Even with AK46 and Price out, we're still the better, deeper team. Let's go get that two points! GO HABS GO! well we are deeper yes but that shouldnt have anything to do with it tonight, we need this game more and we need to play like it every shift

Win-the-cup
Does anybody know anything about an upper body injury the newspaper from Toronto (the Toronto Star) discloses that Kovy has.........is he playing tonight? If he isn't....the good guys are in for a rough time of it.
habs-24
I'm really looking forward to see some secondary scoring start to kick in,we can't keep depending on just the #1 line game after game. Imagine what would happen if all of a sudden, the 1st line drys up,what then??? trouble
Hawker_mtl
Ovechkin is the better player, bigger heart, faster, better shape. However if we're talking purely skill and talent no one in the league has what Kovalev does I guess that's true... Kovy definitely has a unique skill that no other player has, but he shouldn't be compared to Ovie in most respects. Ovie is by far the most complete player in the league, even moreso than Crosby. I'd actually put Milan Lucic above Crosby if we're talking about "complete" players. Malkin would be up there too, but he's too much of a defensive liability. Kovy does have one similarity though, and that is he is definitely a game-breaker, and if we do lose him to UFA this season, we'll need to pick up a similar talent in that respect. Kovy is the type of guy that can create something from nothing, even if the rest of the team is getting shut down. I believe that's something every contender needs. scarface_mtl
no idea who's between da pipes tonight? don't matter,every1 seems focused on what needs to be done n the big guns have stepped up.but, still gotta get PLEX'S line rolling, then,LOOKOUT! i know the maple laffs played last night but, they always save they're hotdogging against us.this year's series has no meaning to home advantage, sooooooooo,i thinks we will put em on da choppin block tonight, hopefully. skate hard, stick 2 stick, score first, score on pp's,and don't look back baby i'm sensing a shootout win here, habs 4-

Ovechkin is a scoring machine and more importantly he's consistent. Kovalev's vision, ability pass make him superior in terms of pure talent and skill, but no doubt Ovechkin is 10 times better.
