zingzing
Then spread the word through facebook... I started a facebook group on Sunday morning after Lucic became my all time most hated player with his bush league actions... if you have a facebook account search for The Milan "Pinocchio" Lucic Hate Club and join the group; spread the word to all the fellow Hab fans or just those in general who despise Pinocchio. I'll be loading pics and videos from here on out to the group so we can all relish in how much we hate this cowardly piece of shat. Oh ya GO HABS GO 4-1 win tonight with perhaps BGL finally just speed bagging Chara or Thornton to earn some of that 1.5M.
arpem-can
I've been spouting off about this guy since last year...last game day thread I suggested BGL just drop his gloves and start pummeling him and take the penalty....he showed his true colours last game ....should have been thrown out for the series but thats not the way they've been calling this round...what probably bothers me more than anything is the fact he's just new to the league basically and young but shows absolutely no respect.....time to key on Savard , Wideman,Kessel and the like....a win will change everything
gracie12
Do I hate Lucic? Sure. Do I hate Chara? You better believe it...but that probably means Id LOVE to have either on my team. Guys who I am "meh" about usually are those who bring nothing to the table. Look at the Bruins roster. Who do you hate the most right now? Chara? Lucic? Savard? Thomas? All of these guys are killing us. Probably not many people here say "I hate Blake Wheeler" or "I loathe Stephane Yelle" - because both of these guys are -1 for the series & not really doing much damage. Kessell, Savard, Chara - these guys are killing us. Im sure if we were Bruins fans, we'd hate Lapierre, Komisarek, Kovalev...we'd probably have no feelings about Pleks or Andrei Kostitsyn. zingzing
Ya I hear what you are saying, but quite truthfully if the shoe was on the other foot and Lucic was a Hab and crosschecking people in the head, gloating beating mid card guys like Komisarek or punching the Mike Brown's of the NHL when they are down and out, I'd be saying I hate this guy and get him off the team... not to mention turning down BGL on a routine basis rather then man up for his actions... I mean Jesus even Claude the Fraud stood up to McCarty back in the day when he needed to pay the piper for his actions. Take Steve Downie for instance... wasn't too many Flyer fans sticking up for the clown during his escapades and they were glad when he left town. To me only a Bruin fan would put this ham n egger on a pedestil and inisist he's the second coming of Cam Neely. Imagine if Greg Stewart played tonight, challended a so so fighter like a Mark Stuart pumbells him to the ice, Hulks up at the bench and then in Game #4 turns down say Shawn Thornton for a one on 1 engagement, then topped it off by cross checking Axelsson in the head at the end of the game. Can you imagine the outcry from the bruin fans and media? So I guess the point is, not only do I despise this clown simply because he's a Bruin, but because he's nothing more then a bush league spot picker... look at the highlights of his big hits from game #1... I mean seriousley, Brisebois and Metropolit??? I loved it when BGL imprinted him into the end boards, now only if he'd do the same to the kisser of Thorton or Kessel... I don't necessarily say he's not at least finally giving us some bang for the buck so far this series, but I'm talking about some serious intimidation if or when he gets the chance tonight to totally swing some momentum our way. I dont disagree with this - but - sometimes these "facts" are skewed by our own predetermined biases. If Lucic was on OUR team, would we be saying that he's chicken for running away from laracque - or would we note the fact that he is 25 lbs lighter than BGL? I mean heck, Komi has a decided weight advantage over Lucic but he doesnt run away from him. Like I said, I HATE Lucic, but then, I HATE the bruins. If you try to look at him objectively I dont think he's a bad guy. He's fought some tough customers of the past year including Ivanans, Eager, Tarnasky and Brookbank - these are all guys with a weight advantage over Lucic. On the flip side (and try to answer this objectively) if you were a bruins fan & saw Komi make 2 fairly questionable face washes, would you not look at it like he's being a punk? We all know & love Komi & know he's tough as nails & would do anything for his teammates - but - we're also biased. Again, if you HATE someone on the opposition, that probably means, sadly, that they are getting the job done.
gracie12
Take Steve Downie for instance... wasn't too many Flyer fans sticking up for the clown during his escapades and they were glad when he left town. Downie and Lucic are completely different situations though. Downie may be the single dirties player we've seen enter the NHL in the last decade. He has no other dimension to his game. To me only a Bruin fan would put this ham n egger on a pedestil and inisist he's the second coming of Cam Neely. Of course this is ridiculous - but I havent heard many intelligent bruins fans making this comparison. Again, no offense but I think you're letting your bias run away here. So what if he hit Metro & Breezer? Laracque hit Grabovski in the last game against toronto - does that make him a pansy? Lucic may have hit those 2 guys because they were just there & ripe for the taking. And I think its midly ironic that you give Lucic a hard time for running 2 decent sized guys but then suggest our biggest player (BGL) should "imprint" Kessel on the boards! Please dont take my "devils advocate" as liking Lucic or anyone on the bruins, I just think that we need to remain somewhat unbiased in order to have a real discussion. Innis_Mor
"Hate"'s a little strong a word for me re: just about any hockey player: Avery: I feel sorry for; IMO, he has some wiring shorted, which may have been addressed some in his rehab Lemieux (Claude): disrespect for his advanced cowardice Lucic: well, I respect some of the qualities he can bring to his game, but I do think he is over-rated. His dis-respect for the game and his opponents is what really irritates me. I have no idea if he was always like this, or only since he got to Boston and his head got so big. Mostly, he overrates himself. From much of what I have read he is being heralded as the second coming of Cam Neely. Now, Bruin fans and/or media may have started all this, but from some interviews I've seen and read, Lucic seems to "dig it" way too much. Someone should let Lucic know he is not the second coming of Cam Neely. Neely is too classy a guy to tell Lucic himself. Lucic's chest thumping ape roar after his Komisarek fight-win, his jumpings from behind, his generous use of stick (why didn't he get two minutes for cross checking Schneider after the whistle? Unsportsmanlike or cross-checking, either one? If ref's aren't going to call that stuff then they are inviting things to escalate, as they did), and his general arrogance don't entice him to many. Bruin fans will love it all, of course. We Hab fans would all just to love to see Laraque lay a beating on him. That was certainly one walloping check BGL laid on him last game. Lucic landed on his rear and then hit the back of his head on the boards as he slid in. Whoop!!

So you'd take Avery and/or Steve Clowny as well?....Lucic struts around has a big ego and then backs down when its time to show up...don't want this type of player no matter what you say...felt the same about Claude by the way...his antics were embarrassing.....devil's advocate or not I wouldn't want him ....Julien's saying his team is taking the "turn the other cheek " stance but frankly I see Lucic trying to hurt people permanently then turtling away...imprinting Kessel or Savard would only in my mind be retaliation for Lucic'c cheap shots

thefooligan5
I think Lucic is an amazing player with a very bright future ahead of him but when he does things such as haul Komisarek down from behind by grabbing his face I do lose a lot of respect for the kid. JHaul
You didnt have to be there, you could hear it loud and clear, no class! And what do you say to Komisareks gutless crosscheck to the face of Lucic in the dying minutes of a sweep!!! 25-40 game suspension, minimum!!!!! And Boston took you to 7 games last year with Chara injured, Markov is just to much of a [edited for language] to play with pain. I was there and didn't hear any anthem booing. Also, there was no crosscheck to the face. It was a crosscheck to the shoulder. Sure it's illegal, but regular old cross checks rarely result in suspensions. JHaul
I can't stand Lucic and unlike many others here I wouldn't necessarily long to have him on my team. He seems hugely overrated IMO. It'd be like asking if I wanted a guy like Matt Cooke on my team. It's kind of like "meh". The only difference is that Lucic is a jerk on top of being "nothing special".
