Kubby31
It was a toss up between chelios & zednik ,but I am going with zedik for the award. I know many of us will never forget back on Feb.28/08,when ollie jokinen's after tripping over another player, his skate accidentally caught zednik in the throat, severely injuring him & nearly missed his jugular vein. He had losed 5 pints of blood & gone into shock. The only reason why he's here today is because of the quick & professional response from the team doctors at the game, man,he had someone looking over him that night for sure. Also, back in 2002 playoffs, the high elbow from former NHLer kyle mclaren, that he ended up with a concussion, broken nose, throat & cut eyelid, man has zedik have his bad luck or what??? Give him credit though,he comes back the following season with 31 goals & 19 assists. Unbelievable.

Kubby31
The same day he was named a finalist for the NHL's Bill Masterton Trophy for perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey, Richard Zednik inked a deal with a Russian Superleague. The 33-year-old, who spent the last two seasons with the Florida Panthers, has signed a two-year contract with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, the team reported on its website Thursday.
