After what I saw of last night's game, Anaheim is now my favourite team to win the cup. They dominated San Jose, and now they're dominating Detroit.

They got an incredible goalie, and unlike our management they didn't give up a top 5 pick to get one.

Tough loss in triple O/T for Detroit. How do you rebound from THAT?

i guess they don't!? ;)

i can imagine they're hurting without rafalski in the lineup. i wouldn't be surprised to see him in game 4.

from a small place in the middle of europe, but it is not part of the european union. the international ice hockey federation has its place of administration there. still no idea? well, ask mark streit or yannick weber. ;)

You know, I would be overjoyed if Anaheim got to the finals, but I don't think they're dominating Detroit. The games have been very close. The first game, the gwg was scored in the last minute. The second game went to triple overtime. The third game, a game tying goal was disallowed in the last minute. The series is only in Anaheim's favor by 1 goal. IMO, if the play of either Getzlaf or Hiller (especially Hiller) falters, the series goes down the drain. I'm rooting for the Ducks, as I like a good underdog story, especially one that knocks San Jose out of the playoffs, but there isn't a domination in this series from either side.

I wonder what Anaheim are going to do next game. Go back to Hiller or give Giguere an opportunity?

good question. i left the game tied at 2 so i didn't see the meltdown. what happened? has detroit solved the kid or did he lose focus? if it's the former start giguere, the latter stick with the kid...he let in four goals against san jose and came back next game with a so. ;)

Alright! :D

Detroit finally breaks through on Hiller and scores 6.

Hiller has kept the Ducks in a lot of games, so to throw him out after a bad game seems like an injustice to me...

Anaheim can't cope with Detroit's depth. That's the key. The Ducks roll two good lines; the Wings roll four good lines.

Anaheim has placed the team on a young goalie, something they did with giggy a couple years ago, they just had more talent back then. and better defense.

More talent? It's essentially the same squad, except that Getzlaf is better now than he was then. Anaheim is just getting outplayed by Detroit. No shame in that, really.
