Carolina Vs Pittsburgh

Recommended Posts

what do you have against the pens?

 Not a whole lot, don't take it sooooo personally. :D

It'll be something though to see the staal brothers go head to head.

Good luck to both teams in this series, canesssss :D as I have a feeling that the winner will be hooking up with the wings, even though I think detroit is the team to beat in the end,I'll let ya all know ahead of time...I am pulling for chicagoooooooooooooooo. :D

Ya,I know, they got their work cut out here but that's another thread.

Dude I know you hate Carolina b/c the Whalers moved there or whatever but just because someone cheers for Carolina doesn't make them Satan's right hand man.

I live in Connecticut and most of the people here were Ranger, Boston, Devil, Flyer, Pittsburgh, or Islander fans. There wasn't much room left fo Whaler fans with all the teams close to the state of Connecticut.

Personally, I'm glad to see Crosby have success in the playoffs after not being considered for the Hart. He's had his downs, but he's had his ups as well. He seems to be maturing as a player, so I hope he does well.

Considering all the pressure he is under to be the top player in the NHL by the NHL he has done pretty well. A lot of players probably would have cracked under that pressure. It doesn't hurt to be living with Mario Lemieux though I'm sure.

Bruins , rangers I know that was true but flyers, devils, pens and islanders....I don't think so. The only time the civic center had alot of other teams fans were rangers and boston

The point is there are a lot of teams around Connecticut even if they are not in Connecticut. People from this area are split over all those teams even though most are Boston or Ranger fans. I know people who are Devils, Islander, and Pittsburgh fans. I mostly was a Ranger fan growing up as I live near the south end of Connecticut.

I know one thing, the Toronto make-me-laughs must be in awe to see what Paul Maurice is accomplishing here with the canes, oh yea,you know what I'm saying.

Go canesssssssss,do it Paul, show the stinking leafs firing you was Carolina's gain. :D

If I were going into a game 7,all on the line,I would want ward in my net.

Not taking anything away from fleury, though Ward would definitely be my #1 choice goaltender

So impressed with him,not much shakes him,I'm guessing Pittsburgh will want to crash the net a lot to get him off his game early, good luck.

Looking forward to a great game.

I was gonna say you were from Fairfield county.....damn rangers :D .....a new whaler team would do just fine. The rivalries we had with Boston and NY were great, just like the Montreal / Quebec rivalry was . That kind of excitement is missing from todays game. A Nashville vs NYR just doesn't do it for anyone.

Man,do I ever so miss that.

I hear ya...the whalers rivalry with Quebec went back to the WHA days so those games were always great but I would have loved to have been there in the forum to see a Montreal vs Quebec game. A Hartford vs Boston game made the civic center electric. I know I live in the past alot with my posts and I appreciate no one telling me to shut the F%%K up yet.. :P ....but when all you got is an AHL team which is a farm team from one of your biggest rivals ( the rangers) the past is all I got left :(..........well I do have the habs

PSSSSTTTT........GO PENS GO!!!

Well Caridiac Canes go down 1-0 in the series. It was a good push in the last seconds of game 1 but they fell short. No surprise really since they always screw the pouch in game ones. The rest of the games should be better as the teams get a chance to feal eachother out.

If it's a Pittsburgh Detroit final like last year im gonna shoot my skin off

Jeez, I'm sort of excited to see a rematch of last year's final. I mean, how often does something like that happen anymore? I'm sure it was commonplace way back when there were something like 10 teams in the league, but it must be very, very rare for it to happen anymore. Two teams, battling through an entire 82 games, fighting through 3 rounds of the post-season, one wanting revenge for the previous season, the other wanting tor eassert itself as the bets team and hockey and win back-to-back Cups! Sounds pretty good to me.
