Reminder: I can imagine that many of you prefer your posts not to be deleted, so please help us out a bit here and refrain from swearing.

Yes, we have an auto-censor, but it's purpose is just to hide the word until we get the chance to edit it. An easy rule of thumb: if "****" shows up after you post, it means you aren't supposed to use the word. Simple as that!

NOTE: This includes using symbols or leaving blanks to "disguise" the words, using abbreviations, and using other languages or keyboard symbols.

There are a number of very young members that visit the forum; please help us in making this an accommodating and enjoyable place for everyone. Plus, I find (and I know I'm not a part of the minority on this) that posts are a lot more credible and enjoyable to read when they are free of foul language.

Never thought I'd say this but, FIRE BOB GAINEY NOW.

MONTREAL -- Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced the acquisition of forward Scott Gomez along with forward Tom Pyatt and defenceman Michael Busto from the New York Rangers, in return for forward Christopher Higgins and defencemen Ryan McDonagh, Pavel Valentenko and Doug Janik.

OMG this is bad. Higgins for Gomez straight up would have been so-so but add McDonagh, Valenteko and Janik this sucks

I attend several Devils and Rangers games each year. Gomez takes way too many shots and can't play a physical game. This is an inane trade, unless you are a Rangers fan and can now outbid Montreal for the Sedins or Heatley.

The Philidelphia got ripped off less than we did. Ryan McDonagh should be an untouchable.

Maybe Timmins and Gainey know something about McDonagh that we don't know.

Michael Busto is 23 years old. The 6’01’’, 210-pound defenceman played for the ECHL Charlotte Checkers for the past two seasons. The Burnaby, British Colombia native registered 11 points in 54 games last season (3 goals, 8 assists), and 41 penalty minutes. He joined the Rangers as a free agent in April 2007.

Tom Pyatt is 22 years old. The 6’00’’, 185-pound forward registered 37 points in 73 games with the AHL Hartford Wolfpack last season (15 goals, 22 assists). The Thunder Bay, Ontario native was a 4th round selection from the Rangers, 107th overall in 2005. He earned a gold medal with Team Canada Junior in 2006 and 2007.

you understand scott gomez's shooting percentage? 5.2% 6.6% 5.9% past three season. How can you pay $8 mil for a 15 goal scorer? i wanted koivu gone, but this is a sick insult to koivu to replace him with gomez.

271 shots 16 goals. those are team wrecking stats. possibly the worst shot of any forward in the NHL.
