Talk about a hometown discount, they could have gotten more years as well as more per year elsewhere (plus Vancouver has the worst taxes after Montreal). This is about half of what they were asking for. For all the making fun of Gillis last year: he was the one who landed Sundin in the end; and now he played hardball and won. How HORRIBLE of that contract been leading into this year. Take away 10 million from Vancouvers Salary Cap.. Thats pretty much the Sedin twins cap right there.
