Season Opener: Montreal Canadiens Vs ...

Recommended Posts

Mike Komisarek and the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre on Thursday, October 1st! Surely this will be part of the traditional opening night doubleheader on Hockey Night in Canada!

The Maple Leafs will first come to the Bell Centre later in October although no date has been released in the article.

Thoughts?

It's gonna be like this.

Wednesday September 30th - Canadiens @ Sabres 19:30

Thursday October 1st - Canadiens @ leafs 19:30

And the leafs will not have a game played the night before.

(Greek Hab speculation)

This is pre-season right? because the stars last pre-season game is september 30th so how could it be that the habs are starting their season when teams aren't even done with their exhibition games??

Seems to be the yearly tradition lately. We do half a dozen home openers before we even see home ice.Pathetic if true.

Season is starting early because of the Olympics.

The Bruins seem to end their preseason on September 28th. Besides, their road sheet doesn't look that much better either, lots of road games...

The Official Website of the Boston Bruins

The Bruins have eight preseason games scheduled, as they will face the New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets twice and the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators once. They will open their preseason schedule with
back-to-back road games on Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 16
against the Rangers and Maple Leafs
before returning home to face the Rangers
on Saturday, September 19. The Bruins will
then travel to Quebec City
where they will play the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday, September 20 in their only neutral site game of the preseason. Following the matchup with the Habs, the Black & Gold will play
three straight on the road at Columbus (9/22), Montreal (9/24) and Ottawa (9/25)

Yea,well he thinks Chara getting booed at the bell center was loud & continuous, that will seem like a walk in the park when the fans are done with him, when he's back in habsville.

Chara,move over.

There's a new whipping boy coming to town.
