A second autopsy done on the body of former boxing champ Arturo Gatti reportedly reveals he indeed died by hanging, and not by strangulation.

That was the one done in Montreal last month at the request of Gatti's family, who rejected the results of the first autopsy in Brazil, which showed pretty much the same thing.

This one also supposedly shows, none of his injuries indicated that anyone else could have hanged him, and that he was not beaten or tied up, though there was no specific source cited in the La Presse report.

But, there is one theory that authorities are still looking at, that he might have been drugged before he died, and indeed, there was a powerful sleep aid found in his bloodstream -- a sleep aid sold in Brazil but not in Canada.

Gatti, you'll recall, was found dead July 11th at a rented Brazilian coastal condo he was sharing with his wife Amanda Rodrigues and their infant son.

Rodrigues was initially considered a suspect in his murder until the results of the first autopsy came out.
