WesternWill
WOW! A five game road trip to open the season...That is not going to be easy. Especially cause it is through western canada!!! 11

sebchenier
what the heck is going on? Why am I gonna have to wait so long to see a live habs game???? I'm gonna try to go see at least 2 games in Montreal and 2 games against the Sens in Ottawa (I live close to Ottawa) this year
Bear-Cove-Hab
looks like No Saku this year in Montreal with the NHL's stupid schduling, its actually possible the guy will never play here again. WHy is it so tough, everyteam plays every other team twice, once in each building, then focus on division rivals, adn fill teh rest with conference teams. That way everyone gets to see everyone else
GoHabsGo9_mtl
Why do we always start the season on the road??? And what were they thinking putting a Habs-Leafs game on Boxing Day? Everyone knows what the the main event is in Canada on Boxing Day.
roy_133
The Bell is booked up early October apparently, that's why the long road trip to start, Disney on ice or something.

Everyone knows what the the main event is in Canada on Boxing Day. I'm sure CBC pushed for it so it could compete with TSN. I like the schedule very much actually. Get the long road trip over to start the season when everyone is fresh and tehn come home and recharge. Only bad part is the 7 game road trip in the middle of the season! Agreed, the 7-game road trip from Dec. 19-31 scares me! That always seems to be when our season goes downhill. Thankfully our competition isn't too tough. final game of the season is at home against the leafs ; should be an entertaining bout !! Maybe for them. We'll have clinched by then... Get the long road trip over to start the season when everyone is fresh and tehn come home and recharge. Only bad part is the 7 game road trip in the middle of the season! It's tough for us Maritimers right at the start of the season though. Back to back 10:00 and 11:00 weekday games? They're not going to be happy with my performance at work on Thursday Agreed, the 7-game road trip from Dec. 19-31 scares me! That always seems to be when our season goes downhill. Thankfully our competition isn't too tough. What's the deal with that, anyway? Is there a reason the schedule works out that way every year over Christmas? SteenIsThaFuture
:( I'm disappointed. I really am. There was no time IMO. The league has to plan around 30 venues and their schedules. The Habs played the Ducks at home last year and every year it alternates, except for the 3 special "rivalry" games which is against the 3 western canadian teams which is they wanted to, could've subbed like Calgry for Anaheim instead. I'm sure if they had like a month or more it could be possible, but at such short notice, you have to turn around probably mutiple teams schedules drastically just to accomodate one game. ozweego
Although the first half dozen games are on the road. Out of the gate we have a chance of going undefeated until we hit Pittsburgh at the end of the month.

Guest Carey_Price
start with the leafs and end with the leafs, as much as i hate that team it's a nice way to kick off the season in their arena and then to give our fans an exciting win at the end of the season.
