Weepingminotaur In The Hockey News

Recommended Posts

Sorry if there's already a topic/post on this.

On page 39 of the most recent The Hockey News, there's an article about the Habs and their offseason. Here's an exert:

Perhaps the sentiment was best summed up on the Canadiens website by a fan who goes by the name weepingminotaur:

"Right now, I'm neither happy with nor disappointed in the new Canadiens," he or she wrote. "I'm sort of in between - mourning the past and missed opportunities, hoping things will work out but not particularly optimistic that they will and, paradoxically, energized by all the changes."

THN reads this forum? Wow. In any case, congratulations, weep!

Sue 'em Weeps.

You never gave that fish wrap the right to publish your deepest thoughts.

Get an ambulance chaser and go for the throat.

Your pal in wasteful litigation,

Flunky

:lol::lol:

Bahh, I've written better crap than that and never got published. Now we'll never hear the end of it

Yeah, I'm thinking that quote in blinking type at 24-point mauve font would be great in my signature. :D:P :P

Congrats brother, that was a great great quote that they picked to publish.

Thanks bro. To me, it's just a nice little testament to the quality of the board. :)

Good for you weep!!

On a more pressing note... why is the Hockey News reading this forum?

An even more pressing note, why are they reading this forum for material?!!

Probably to save some research time AND money ($$$). How to write a magazine article in 3 steps:

1. Gather diverse opinions + statements from all over the internet

2. Link them together.

3. ???

4. Profit.

Definately a good read on all our newest Habs (with the exception of Curtis Sanford) definately topped off by seeing Weeps comments.....all and all very wicked stuff.....no worries I get the hockey news too and it was a very long waiting period for me as well, worth the wait though thats 4 sure

Again, it's a testament to the quality of this board. Put it this way: I may be the first forum member to get quoted in a legitimate sports publication, but I doubt I'll be the last. We have a highly intelligent, articulate membership. I wouldn't be surprised to see other members getting their comments cherry-picked by the media in future. :)
