It's not her fault i guess, she wasn't ready for something like that and they throw her right away in the middle of the spotlight. Of course now she's gonna write a book and make a ton of money, but nothing wrong with that i guess, every politician do the same thing. Problem was the McCain people put too many restraints on her. She is really a pit bull politically and could have really taken some very good shots at the Obama team but was held back by the McCain team and then they tried to blame her for the loss. If you look at the numbers she polls very very well among Republicans and conservatives. She connects with people and that was a problem for the Democrats which is why they attacked her so hard. She touched a chord with working people so the press here in the U.S. which still has this love affair with Obama had to take her down....well we all know now what the end result is.....the press got Obama elected and unemployment still goes up, the deficit goes up and the country is going down..so as it gets harder and harder here to find anyone who will still admit to voting for Obama, we conservatives who took so much guff after the election are now fond of saying..."So how is that hope and change working out for you?" HA HA HA HA it's not really funny because we ALL have to live with this nightmare......as do our children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will all have to pay for this..... LOL...THIS IS TOO FUNNY * She did not do well at all. When she went off her political scripted talking points she fell apart. She had no answers and proved she was not ready and never will be. * She connects and touched a chord with with red neck, uneducated voters. I guess you can put yourself in that category also. She campaigned on fear mongering and played into peoples fears about terrorists . She claimed and kept the fire going that Obama "palled" around with terrorists, almost to the point where she was almost claiming he was one. You and many other republicans are the reason you lost the election. the republican party has lost their way. Many see the republican party for what it is now, a fear mongering, gay bashing, anti-science party that hates everyone that doesn't agree with them and their Born again christian views. Why do I say that? because its true otherwise you wouldn't bash all Muslims when you know that isn't the problem. * I am sure you think you are highly intelligent and above all of us Obama voters but the truth of the matter is this. PRESIDENT OBAMA inherited this fiscal mess from a President that had no fiscal responsibility. Who authorized and pushed for an unjust war that has cost us billion and billions and worse thousands and thousands of lives from both sides. He has been President for less than a year but all you right wingers love to say " see, wheres the change" but funny you said nothing of all these same problems when "W" was in office. I know people make fun of Bush for being dumb, but truthfully he's at least somewhat smart. But it's obvious listening to Palin she's at best around average. She got a University degree but, from Wikipedia, she "After attending five different colleges in a six year span of time, with less than two semesters at most, she received a *****. in communications with an emphasis in journalism from the University of Idaho in May 1987." Oh yeah the Clinton Administration...Bush started in 2002 to try to regulare these two and each time was bloicked in comittees of both houses by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd. So here is another question...guess who Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac made large campaign contributions to?? The wave of deregulation probably started under Reagan. By the way, President Obama has spent more in his seven months than Bush did on the war, so put that old argument to bed..... He inherited a record deficit, two wars, an a financial crisis that any legitimate economist said required stimulus (even Republicans wanted it in the form of tax cuts). Bush inherited a mild recession, but still had surpluses and no major wars or anything left over from CliNton. He managed to go from surplus to record deficit despite the economy being in high gear. I'm done on this thread. we all have differing opinions on politics and we aren't going to be able to change each others minds so why try? We could keep this going for weeks, months and years and it could even wind up getting nasty and who really wants that? You folks have your opinion and I have mine. If you voted for Obama and are happy about what he's doing then your happy and I'm not going to be able to change that nor do I want to try. The one thing I have always liked on this forum is how well we treat each other and I don't want to lose that. Politics is one of those issuse like abortion(not going there either) that can really get heated and things could get said in the heat of the moment that we all might regret later and in the end all you are left with is hard feelings and I don't want that to happen. If I have offended anyone in this thread I apologize and as I said, I really don't want to continue this, not because I think I'm wrong but because like I said I don't want this to end up with hard feelings between anyone........so let's just agree to disagree......
