bell75
I know the obvious answer is first. But, think about how 8th makes every single game of the season count. For the last few years, I've watched EVERY game knowing full well that EVERY point counted (no year was this more true than last year). When every game counts, its pretty exciting. But, after years of just making/missing the playoffs (aside from our first place surprise 2 years ago) I hope we can start slotting into the 3-6 position for awhile...I know my heart could use a bit of a break. So I'm going to throw out: 4th

cbarker78
Is this a joke?lol I want Montreal to finish 1st and dominate then win the cup. Will that happen?
bell75
the regular season games get me through a long cold winter, i prefer them to be competitive and close, with the points up for grabs meaning something... it makes the games more entertaining to experience. if montreal dominated game in and game out, i don't think it would be that interesting to watch...since you know the outcome. of course, and toronto fans can identify with this (jab), the other way is true as well. It doesn't seem like where you finish in the regular season has much bearing on your cup chances either...montreal finished first in the east and did not go anywhere in the playoffs, whereas pittsburgh finished fourth last year and won the cup (my sample size is not 2, but those 2 come to mind). --- This thread is marginally different than the "where do you think we'll finish" thread...I think Montreal will finish 6th. I would like us to finish 4th. If the mods think it should be closed, I respect your judgment...I just wanted to share how I've enjoyed these "bubble" seasons because EVERY point really does count, starting with game 1. We may not win the cup every year, but you can still have an enjoyable year of hockey.
Larry-Launstein-Jr
We'd all love to see Montreal win the whole thing. But the more realistic question, and there are other threads out there about this, is where the order of finish will be.
